Candice Olsen, where are you???
With us closing on our house in less than a month {I know, I can’t believe how fast time flies}, I am feverishly starting to search for necessities for our new abode! And yes, the list is adding up very quickly… I have to get it in my head that it’s going to take A LOT of time to furnish an entire home and I need to take my time so I can get pieces that will last for years to come, but I can’t help but peruse all  my favorite sites for some must-haves to compliment the look we’re going for…
First, we have decided to tackle the living room…here are some of my favorite ideas so far!

The Tyler Sofa from Pottery Barn— classic and comfy,
yet still perfect for our formal living room
A Patterned Chair for an Added Splash of Color!
Hudson Coffee Table for STORAGE!!
A Collection of Frames for Friends and Family Pictures
And of course, our new painting from Charleston
Ok, so this is where my blogging friends come in?? Do you know of any websites/stores I may be missing when it comes to purchasing furniture/decor/accents?? Of course there are the standards: PB, Ballard Designs, Ikea, Pier 1, West Elm, etc. but I am needing any and all suggestions sent my way–I need all the help and advice I can get!! Much thanks to all of you in advance–have a great Wednesday =)

  1. I love the new paitning from Charleston! I have drinks there all the time, it's a gorgeous place isn't it!

  2. Hodge Podge says:

William Sonoma Home and Restoration Hardware! Sprintz in Nashville on White Bridge is wonderful, too. And a lot of times they do no interest, no payments for a year, sometimes even two.

  3. WestSacHoney says:

Southern Home Living has some cute stuff, Pottery Barn I'll have to think of some others. I love Kohl's for cheap but nice things.

  4. for the love says:

Do you have a Z Gallerie near you? They have a large art selection – most of their furniture is too modern for my taste, but it's all very pretty.

Love your picks from Pottery Barn!

  5. Brown Girl says:

I love that Hudson coffee table, the storage in that thing would be so helpful for us. I don't why we have so much stuff. Good luck shopping!

  6. Sarah Mina says:

Crate and Barrel and their outlet. I got my coffee table and two end tables from there. Also, Target has some surprisingly decent pieces of accent furniture. Oh, and Macy's. They usually have good stuff that also goes on sale, my sofa is from there. Good luck!

  7. Souther Living Home has great stuff as well as Crate & Barrel! Dont forget Container Store for all your storage!! LOVE it! 🙂 sooo exciting!

  8. Brittany says:

I love the pieces you picked! Especially the chairs. Very nice 🙂

Try Crate & Barrell or William Sonoma Home.

Good luck on furnishing your home!

  9. Your ideas from pottery barn are adorable, there is one a block from our place and I love going in to plop down on that sofa! Im at a loss for where else to get furniture, but I do know Restoration Hardware always has really pretty stuff:)

  10. looks like you are off to a great start!

do you all have an arhaus? they are fabulous!

  11. Nikosmommy says:

Lurve that sofa!! And Candice Olsen is by FAR the best designer on T.V.!!! She can come on down and work some magic on my home anyday!!!

  12. LG says:

You should start following some home blogs , because pottery barn looks pretty in pictures but is alot of the time not awesome quality wise, and not very original!
target and pier one both carry those printed parsons chairs with great fabric choices!
Z Gallery in Green Hills Mall has awesome stuff! TJMAXX in Brentwood is another great place for home stuff and southeastern salvage too! Good luck! Make SURE to take before and after pictures

  13. I'm sure you've already thought of this, but if youa are ANYWHERE near a Pottery Barn Outlet, you should check it out before making any big purchases.

We've thankfully furnished most of our house with pieces from the Outlet (nothing at all was wrong w/ them, they just made too many of them or they were last seasons styles, etc.). And whatever matching pieces they didn't have at the Outlet, we just bought at the regular PB here in Houston or online.

We got a Pearce sectional (regularly priced at $3,500) for $800 and a king size Whitney bed for $120 (normally around $800 I think)!!!

That was about 3 or 4 years ago and we haven't bought any big pieces since then because we completely furnished the house….I'm not 100% sure the deals are still that good or if the Outlets have what you'd be looking for, but it's definitely worth a shot!

Sorry for the novel – can you tell I love Pottery Barn?! 🙂
