Yes, it’s my weekly “all things wedding” post… isn’t it sad that this is thg highlight of my week, as if I need ANOTHER reason to stalk wedding blogs and websites??
Ahhh the infamous wedding cake… some people {we wont say who} don’t think wedding cakes are important… and since everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I tend to disagree! I’m obsessed with all things sweet and can’t think of a better way to indulge at a wedding than to sample a tasty cake–I swear I can tell you what each wedding cake looked and tasted like from each wedding I have been to, so I think I am a bit of a connoisseur in this area-haha!
Tomorrow, Jeff and I are headed to meet with my potential cake lady herself… identity to be named once we finalize the details, but I have met her a few times {at bridal shows and private parties} and am absolutely blown away with her creativity!! This is one of the things I am most excited to discuss =)

All of those cakes are gorgeous.
On my way to weddings I always wonder if there will be a cake, if so what kind, how will it look, etc. So IMO cakes are very important too!
i like the first one and the broach one the best. i too LOVE cakes…i mean, i love cake like i love to breathe. to me the most important thing in a wedding: my dress and the cake. 🙂 oh and not necessarily how pretty the cake is, but how it tastes.

I love them all and I want to eat them all. 🙂 I too was obsessed with my wedding cake and LOVED the way it turned out. I used some of my grandmother's vintage brooches as decoration on each tier and it was stunning. I see it all the time now – but two years ago no one had really done it. The Knot actually featured our cake. It was so perfect!

I LOVE the simplicity and elegance of the first and last white cakes. So gorgeous. I love all of your enthusiasm on planning the details for your wedding, it's super contagious 🙂 even though I'm not even engaged yet I feel like I can somewhat live vicariously through your adventures in planning! happy st. patrick's day!!

I'm totally in love with that second cake…but they're all just beautiful. My cake was one of my very fave things about my wedding!

Cake is one of the things most people remember about weddings. They remember if they thought it was pretty/creative and they remember if it was good. I swear there is nothing worse than tasting a bed cake at someone's wedding since that is one of the things that I look forward to! haha – Good luck finding the perfect cake! Can't wait to see what it looks like:)
