Why is it that I have spring fever and every Friday I am constantly looking at the clock waiting for my work day to be over so I can ring the official “thank-the-Lord-it’s-the-weekend” bell?? Who knows, but I am so ready to get out of here and enjoy the Nashville forecast, which calls for LOTS of sun and warm temperatures.
After work, I’m heading home to straighten the house up {story of my life these days}, change into some casual clothes, and sit on the back patio with the boy to enjoy an early evening beverage… I’m leaning towards something like this:
A Jack Daniel’s Lynchburg Lemonade–find out how to make it here
Then I am heading to Meg’s place {sniffle, sniffle–my former abode} to hang out with some of the ladies coming in town to visit for Meg’s first bridal shower tomorrow!!!
Yes, she is uber:excited and the fabulous ladies throwing the party are sure to make it very special–I just know it! After the shower, I am heading to a cousin’s birthday party–Carter is turning 2 and is quite possibly the cutest little thing ever–yes, pictures to follow I promise! Then it’s back home to get ready for GIRL TIME FUN–yes, I said it–we’re going out tomorrow night… the old ladies are getting dressed up and taking Nashville nightlife by storm… dinner and drinks, I can’t wait! Hopefully, we’ll be making an appearance at church and then Jeff and I are doing yardwork all day–ehhhh. Hopefully my green thumb will come around and I’ll actually enjoy weeding, pruning the shurbs, bla bla bla.
Note to self: if I look back at my blog a year ago, I was a lot more entertaining/fun/random/crazy, so thanks to all my readers who continue to read and comment even though I am truly acting my age now–haha. My focus has gone from being the life of the party to being a housewife who loves to entertain, decorate, and exercise =)
And on another note, I just have to tell you all how humbled I am sometimes when I have
{old and new} friends tell me they read my blog…
WHO KNEW! I got a sweet little message from an old college buddy last night–thanks Chelsie–and it completely made my week–such kind words and it really makes me wonder just how many other friends/people are out there that read, but don’t say anything?? Anyways, your encouragement, thoughtful well wishes, and genuine kind-heartedness mean more to me than you will EVER realize and I hope you all know how my heart is full of love for each and every one of you =)
I love your blog! And you sound just like me on Fridays (planning the whole weekend while I countdown)…5 o'clock, that's all I'm asking for! Just thought I'd let you know. Have a great weekend!
I bet you might enjoy yard work more than you would think. There is something really satisfying about working in YOUR yard – taking the time to make YOUR home look great. Hope all goes well! đ
