Monthly Goals Start NOW

Uncategorized

June 1, 2010

With this day marking the first day of June, I thought this would be a PRIME opportunity to make a monthly goal to-do list in the hopes I can really start tackling some of the items I always want to finish, though because of time/work/stress/travel/etc, never seem to get accomplished.
I am going to try to start doing this every month in the hopes I can keep myself accountable {and trust me, all helpful guidance is MUCH anticipated}!
Here we go:
1. Finish reading Breaking Dawn–I am SO close and want to be done so I can move on to another book
2. Make dinner at least 2 nights a week and try at least 5 new recipes {and yes, I’ll post too!}
3. Get my oil changed and alignment checked {do you hate spending money on cars as much as I do??}
4. Finish decorating our master bedroom…bookcase was bought this weekend and all I need now is a piece of art for the empty wall and pictures in frames on our ledge
5. Paint and decorate my upstairs guest bathroom–shower curtain is bought, paint color has been chosen, and now all I need to do is take a weekend and complete my little project
6. Attend church EVERY Sunday we are home–I have to admit, we have been uber slackers lately when it has come to attending church. It’s so important and we’ve slipped into getting lazy on Sunday mornings, but I will be back this weekend and I’m ready to get back into our worship routine
7. Workout 4 days a week EVERY week… this isn’t too far off as I normally do 3 to 4 times a week anyways, but my goal needs to increase back to running 10 to 15 miles a week–nothing less will do, afterall, it’s BATHING SUIT SEASON
8. Get together with 2 friends I haven’t seen in awhile… Jenna and Brittney–this means YOU!
9. Wash and clean my car–yes, due to constant raining and scattered storms in and around Nashville for the past few months, I have been horrid about keeping my car cleaned… no more excuses! My car will be washed, waxed, and cleaned in every nook and cranny before the end of the month!
Alright, there it is! Though I wanted to list more, I think for my first month, I need to start small and then increase each month based on my overall productivity and whether or not I am successful! So, what your your best suggestions for staying on track and checking things off your list???
