Oh Louis Armstrong, I love that song… always puts me in a GREAT mood! Yes, the sun is shining a lot earlier than usual (and I’m quite thankful for having it out when I leave the gym in the morning), however, we all know it’s quite depressing to know the sun will set before we leave work this afternoon=oi vey and boo hiss.
This weekend was all about mucho fun and family time. Relaxing in and around Nashville and nothing else… Friday night, Jeff and I shared our ritual weekly date night, but took things down a notch–had some fantastic tacos and sangria via Local Taco, hopped over to our fav jewelry store to pick out my wedding band, and then Jeff conned me into seeing The Social Network movie. As for a review, the story was really interesting, especially to see how “the” facebook was created and evolved, however, the guy that plays Mark Zuckerberg could be the most annoying actor to walk the face of the planet… I hope I never have to watch another movie with him–EVER!
Saturday morning, Mom and I met up for our last round of MOB dress shopping… and I think we have finally found a winner!! (promise to share once all is said and ordered) That afternoon, she tasked me with the job to help her find some home accessories for my parents’ new house so off we were. 5 hours later, the car was full and we met our boys at Judge Beans BBQ for some authentic Texas-style brisket–yummy!! Then it was home to watch more movies… Robin Hood with Russell Crowe–another instant war/romance classic in my book.
Sunday morning, I treated Jeff to homemade blueberry muffins before church and then went to service…afterwards, we ventured to our favorite hole-in-the-wall for brunch, Sky Blue, (can you tell this was the weekend of eating out??) and then I dropped Jeff off to play a round of golf with his friends while I began our Christmas shopping spectacular!!
Only 1 present down, and a multitude to go, but Macy’s was having a MAJOR sale so I just had to get started early…then I popped my head into my fav home store, PB, to order my dining room chairs–well low and behold, they had them in stock so I was able to take them home yesterday, chair covers and all. Our kitchen is getting painted today and tomorrow, and then I promise to show the progress–it looks totally different and I am loving this space that will be perfect for entertaining since we LOVE to do that around here.
Alright Monday, please dont hurt me too much… a lot to accomplish and not nearly enough time!
