It’s sad that it’s only the 1st of December and we’re nearing the end of the challenge over at
Aly’s blog… is it obvious to everyone just how much I absolutely love Christmas and everything about it? Oh well, I’ll suck it up and just stick to the plan. Here is today’s topic:
Day 9: Favorite Holiday Recipe(s)
Sweet Potato Casserole–famous family recipe…you can read about it
here
My Grandmother’s Divinity—
here is Paula Deen’s version… there is no way it tops my Gran’s, but her recipe is “a pinch of this, a dash of that” so it’s not clear just how she mastered this yummy treat
Frozen Hot Chocolate–Serendippity’s famous
recipe… AMAZING I tell you!!
Champagne Salad–this
one is VERY close to my Gran’s recipe–but she substitutes pecans instead of walnuts, so you may want to try that… perfect for holiday parties and not as bad for you as some of the other sweet treats
And P.S. I am joining Aly in asking everyone to add “pop-up” to their comments… if you have them embedded, I can’t leave you a message which makes me sad. Something with security and virus threats on my computer, so she tells you how to change that option
here!
