Yay for me actually bringing the camera out for loads of pics from this past weekend… it took me a few days to get them uploaded, but I did it {multitasking at its finest here at work} and here’s a full weekend recap:
Friday night–typical “old married couple” night… grocery shopping, dinner at our favorite Mexican hole in the wall Las Maracas and watching our new fav show on TV–Blue Bloods–it’s REALLY good for a cop show I promise!
Saturday morning, we jumped out of bed, well I did and Jeff whined profusely, and went to the Y for a good morning workout… then we met Mom in downtown Frankin for Dicken’s Christmas. My poor Daddy couldn’t come because he got called into work, but we had a great time just the 3 of us. Shopped til we dropped, indulged in the world’s best chicken poppyseed casserole via Dumplins, toured the shops for gifts and home decor {and found some GREAT pieces}, and then headed to the mall for more Christmas fun. Mom and Jeff left me all alone, so I wandered to the coffee shop, bought some small gifts I still had left to buy, and treated myself to a new piece of bakeware–I know how to party, don’t I??
Me and Jeff {look alike for Jonnhy Cash day–lol} in Franklin
Me and my wonderful Mom all bundled up
Love them!
The roundabout full of people, booths, and yummy food!
Saturday night, we had my company’s annual Christmas Party at the Wildhorse Saloon. A few years back, I planned our party there and everyone had such a fun time we decided to go back!! Here’s some fun shots from the night’s festivities…
Valerie, Courtney, Jennifer, and Me
Bringing Scott into the fun–we told him “sorority squat” but it looks like he needs to go to the bathroom… his wife thought it was HILAREIOUS!
Love these ladies–oh how boring work would be without them
Courtney and her 2 Favorite Men đ
Sunday morning, we were up at the crack of dawn getting everything ready for our family lunch at our house. Of course we had a few small meltdowns as I seemed to almost burn the house down because of brown sugar glaze that dripped into the oven {oops!}, but we got it all together just in the nick of time and had a fabulous lunch with the family.
Jeff and Me–woo hoo we did it! All that hard work paid off
Time for warm clothes and the concert, but not before pictures in front of our tree!
We all bundled up just as soon as the snow started to accumulate on the ground and headed to Bridgestone Arena for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. If you have yet to see them, let me be honest here: it was a fun and entertaining concert, however, does anyone else out there know they play music other than holiday tunes?? Yeah, none of us sure did. We could’ve gone without the 5 or 6 rock ballads in a row and just listened to the Christmas songs, but we had a great time–note to self… 1 time is enough for me đ
The lighting effects were really neat to watch
And because I won’t get too many opportunities to see our house with lots of snow,
here is a picture: yay for winter time fun!
your weekend looked and sounded amazing!
