Pain medications make me nauseous so I may start rambling and seem a bit out of whack right about now. Just as promised, I diagnosed myself yesterday as indeed I have an infected tooth AKA time for a lovely root canal. As glamorous as that may sound–and yes, I am trying to be uber positive because I am so scared–I’m hoping to be laughing all afternoon in the chair as I receive gas, shots, and anything else to calm my wits.
Unlike William Wallace {you know, Mel Gibson in Braveheart} I want as much numbing medicine as one can tolerate thank you very much. So there you have it… my Friday night will be spent sleeping on the couch and having Jeff take care of me–maybe I can twist his arm and get him to watch girly/holiday-ish movies with me, while sipping anything to dull the pain…hello vino/whiskey/wassail/etc!
The endodontist has promised me I should be back as my normal peppy self tomorrow, which is good because we have a fun later 1/2 of the weekend planned…
Furniture/decor shopping tomorrow morning {we’re on a roll I tell you}, wrapping up our last trip to the mall to pick up a few last Christmas gifts, and then date night for Saturday evening. Jeff is plotting something and I just know it has to include going to tour the lights at the ever-fabulous Opryland Hotel.
Sunday, we’ll be back in church, brunching it up somewhere local, and then Meg and I have a fun afternoon planned… I simply cannot wait for some fun girl time with the best friend. Hope you all have a spectacular weekend and good luck getting everything ready in time for Christmas NEXT WEEK!! đ

I hope you're feeling better today…I didn't want to say it in my last comment but I did have to have a root canal too…I was grinding my teeth in my sleep and crack one up the root (LOVELY)! I was back to normal in a day or two! Mine happened 7 days before I left for Spain a few years ago (at least it didn't happen in Spain!). Feel better girl!
