That is the song that popped in my head this morning… why, I have no idea.
It’s Thursday–one day closer to the weekend, can you tell I am counting?
First of all, I want to say
THANK YOU to my friend Adam who pleasantly surprised me last night with a brand new camera. Let’s just say he had a little run-in with the old one last weekend… dropping my little friend in a beer… so he bought me the new jazzy Canon–wahoo for more picture taking abilities!! Love you friend đ
Last night, I cleaned out yet another 4 shopping bags full of clothes–and it doesn’t look as though I made a dent in my “collection”. Funny I mention that because I had 3 different ladies email me asking if I was going to do a blog sale soon… and the answer is yes, once I find the time to snap pics, upload, price, etc… anything you’re wanting to see in partciular? I have found that accessories and dresses sell the best, but I am open to any suggestions you may have.
I don’t know what it is with home organization with me these days…I guess I am just getting a jump start on spring cleaning–I have never been one for “clutter” so now is as good a time as any. I’ve cleaned out the kitchen cabinets, pantry {oh that was so much fun}, and now my closet–next on the schedule is personal items in the bathroom {think old makeup, nail polish, etc} and items with a temporary home–also known as “Jeff’s Junk”.
And finally, my reading for the new year has started—we’re embarking on our book club next month, but until then I thought it was time I read something else…another book of substance as I like to say, not just a girly read which I normally tend to focus my efforts on: my 2nd book from Gary Chapman (
The 5 Love Languages author) titled “The Marriage You’ve Always Wanted”…a sweet little present last year from Mom and Dad. By the way, if you ever get confused about how the Bible talks about marriage/becoming “one flesh, etc. this is a great resource and it’s really helping me understand things a lot better.
Tonight is going to be fun… meeting my Aunt, Cousin Lauren, and my Mom for dinner!! Can’t wait for Amerigo’s which I haven’t had in years–Italian restaurant for Non-Nashvillians–and then home for Jersey Shore… yes, I watch that reality TV junk.
Stay tuned for tomorrow–I am going to return to “Fashion Friday”, and I’ll have some fun new finds to cure all of us from winter blues…yippee!
i've been on a cleaning and organizing kick lately too. it's like spring cleaning in the winter…which is necessary đ
have fun tonight and enjoy your dinner!
I am always hunting for good deals on accessories so that would be great for your blog sale! I am also feeling the need to organize lately, I think it's the long winter days and being couped up inside that do it. Looking forward to fashion Friday!
I can't wait for Jersey Shore either! We are making spaghetti for dinner in honor of the season premiere. Can't wait!
i have that canon camera too and i looove it… except now i have a canon rebel from the bf but you're going to love it! xo
I think the organizing comes with the new year, like a new start. I blogged about it today too!
what a sweet friend! Yay for a new camera! =)
Looking forward to Fashion Friday!
I cleaned out my make-up and toiletries on Sunday. Everything is so organized now. đ Have fun at Amerigo's tonight. We have one, but I always forget about it.
That was SO nice of your friend to do that for you đ Very thoughtful. I have a canon that is very similar and LOVE it. Have a great day, dear!
Ahh all your organization is so inspiring!
Thanks for the book suggestion, adding this one to my list!
I am in the market for a new camera, and canon was the brand I am interested in. Let me know what you think of the new beauty.
Im in a spring cleaning mood too! And I cant wait for JS tonight!
I have been organizing/cleaning out as well! Something must be in the air!
Ugh, Amerigos. I love that place. I'll be in Nashville on Sunday for a week before heading to school again and that's one place I'm really craving! I am interested to hear what you think about the book. I had no idea he wrote that. I really liked the love languages book.
I totally just swooned at that picture of the completely organized kitchen/shelves. Gorgeous! And I haven't heard of that book and now I must, must read it. Happy new year!
