Thoughtless…perhaps, only you can decide:
1. With us deciding to stay at home this weekend and forego the sunny beaches of Seaside with the bestest, her hubby, and family {honestly, what are we thinking?}, Jeff and I have some time to get to work around the house and I am hoping to start and finish some projects…in no particular order, we’re going to embark on these “fun” assignments:
- Work on gallery art wall for our downstairs–a.k.a man cave/family living room
- Organizing storage areas–upstairs closets, cabinets, and basement space to make sure everything in our house has a place so that things actually get put up
- Searching for new bedding for the master…such a tedious chore and a hard one at that. Bedding stores in Nashville are few and far between, but hoping I can find something fresh and fun to change up our room and add some fun new colors
- Buy new outdoor patio umbrella and outdoor pillows and accessories to bring in some added color for summer entertaining…so wishing we could get new furniture, though that is on the list for next year
2. Getting an email from our fabulous wedding photographers entitled “Image Premiere” last night may have made my entire week…sure, our meetingisn’t until July 29th, but that means we are inching closer to getting our wedding pictures!
3. With so much going on in Nashville this weekend, Jeff and I are hoping to venture to the Farmer’s Market to stock up on local produce, head to Franklin to partake in the 4th of July Main Street Festival and Fireworks, perhaps take a little afternoon/early evening picnic to Arrington Vineyards for some wine tasting and live music, and spend as much time relaxing as possible…not to mention grilling out a traditional holiday meal is already in the works…I need a hamburger and hot dog like yesterday
When I was in Tennessee last month we went to Franklin…such a cute little town.
The entire name changing process is a beating. I haven't even gone to the social security office and changed my name yet. It's been 3 yrs! oops! I did go to the DMV and when they asked me I totally got choked up when I told the lady. It really is a big deal. Your last name has been your identity your entire life and then one day it's just gone. Very weird feeling.
Happy 4th!
I hated changing my name! It really is a headache!!! But, I do love having the same last name as my love! đ
I agree changing your name is such a pain!!
I need one of those cocktails– Yummy
The cocktails sound delicious! I know it might be crazy but the house projects sound fun to me! Hope the name changing goes smoothly, I am taking notes on everything for when I get married next June!
That sounds like the perfect drink. May have to try it on the 4th of July đ
Ugh! I have always been a vodka and lemonade girl…Counting down the months until I can have one…
I love those pics, are those your actual house? Beautiful!
Loving those spaces – they are so beautiful!
I just bought new bedding for us and it was the longest process. I couldn't decide what colors I wanted to do and then when I finally made up my mind, I couldn't find what I wanted! I FINALLY found something (on a whim after all my planning!) at Z Gallerie. Check out their Mimosa bedding–you might like it đ
And my advice on changing your name since I just went through it…take a day off work to hit up the social security office and DMV in one day so you get it done with. I just got my new driver's license and SS card and I'm so glad it's over!

definitely sounds like you'll have a busy weekend, but hopefully its enjoyable đ
The changing of the name is never-ending….just when you think you are done, there is something else that pops up! đ A year and half later and I think I done…..I think…. :).
OH that cocktail sounds delicious!!
I agree…name changing was THE worst! It took forever!
UGH! The changing name process is dreadful! I had to go up there three times b/c they kept messing up! It feels so good when it's all completed though! Hang in there girl! Looks like you have a lot of fun projects coming up! I rarely comment but I love reading your blog:)
Got this link in an e-mail from David's Bridal- haven't tried it, but it might just be something that helps!
