I know, thank you Bon Jovi for giving us that song…I’ve been belting it out this week since we’ve officially hit the halfway mark of the pregnancy diaries. At first, we started off kinda slow, but the momentum has been gaining at a rapid pace and I cannot believe we’re already to this point! It’s so exciting that slowly but surely our little one is inching closer to making her debut.
What’s going on this week you ask?
How far along? 20 weeks, 4 days…136 days to go
Size of little miss? A small canteloupe? I didn’t know there was a small versus big…from our doctor’s visit on Monday, she is about 12 ounces–measuring right in the middle, the 42% percentile
Maternity Clothes? Bottoms…heck yes. Maternity leggings are amazing with that little “pouch” and I found some more cute jeans at Old Navy believe it or not. Tops and dresses–still getting away with pre-baby items…for now. However, I did order 2 holiday dresses from Asos for the many holiday events we’ve already got on the calendar.
Weight Gain? 13 pounds–lucky number 13 đ
Stretch Marks? No, and I am crossing my fingers and thanking the good Lord above
Gender? ALL girl…at our big ultrasound to measure the little one, another tehcnician confirmed that we’re having a “hamburger” as they lovingly call it. Bring on the pink!
Movement? She is a lot busier at night time and loves to move around. At the doctor’s visit, we got pictures of her with her legs up in the air…we’ve got a little gymnast on our hands.
Sleep? Trying to get at least 8 to 9 hours every night and that is helping me a lot. I got my first prenatal massage this weekend to work out my “kinks” and I can already tell a difference.
Food Cravings? Sour gummy worms, salsa, anything warm, leftover Halloween candy
What I Miss? Date night with my hubby when I could slip into a short dress with platforms and indulge in a few cocktails over dinner
Symptoms? Still with the dry skin, itchiness, lower back pain, feeling “swollen”
Best Moment of the Week? Venturing to the doctor where they ran all sorts of ultrasound tests to make sure she was developing properly…10 fingers and 10 toes, all the necessary body parts and such, and loads of personality already. Mom and Jeff were both in the room and we were all glowing, just thanking God for such a miracle.
AND the best part, we’ve got our name ladies and gentlemen. It took awhile, but Little Miss has her name and I cannot wait to share it…that’s a post in itself ;). P.S. for those that have asked, nursery planning is coming along as well–waiting for my bedding swatches to get delivered and then we can get to ordering!
and jeff still needs photography lessons–LOL
