Why hello my darling girl! You are 3 months old.. how is this possible? Summer is here and we’ve been playing fashion show with you lots this past few weeks with all your adorable dresses, rompers, and bathing suits. Your fat little belly and chubby legs accentuate your outfits perfectly my dear! You are still in 0-3 month clothes, and I am attemtping to get you to wear eveything at least once before you outgrow them all…we’ll see if I can make it happen! As all our friends and family are aware, I was crossing my fingers for a chubby baby and thank heavens my wish came true, for there is simply nothing cuter ;).
For starters, you still L O V E to eat! You take between 6 and 7 bottles a day and we switch between 4oz and 6 oz per feeding…oink oink my little one. On the other end, you definitely have your fair share of diaper changes everyday too and WOWEE they can be nasty let me tell you! Your face gets all red and you get this serious look on your face when you’re going #2 so I know to get ready for a blowout. You are still in size 1 diapers, but that should be changing soon. You weigh 13.5 pounds so you are growing like a weed…keep it up my love muffin.
Back to the good stuff: your mood is getting so much better. The gasiness is still there, but we’re working our way to having a happy stomach all the time. Still using those tummy drops day in and day out, but thanks to Enfamil Fussiness and Gas formula, you don’t get nearily the tummyaches you used to.
As for our sleep routine, last night was our official first day of “Operation Sleep in the Nursery”. Call me crazy mommy, but I was scared at the thought of you sleeping there all by your lonesome…we have 2 monitors, which helped me get through the night and I have to admit, you handled it a lot better than I did. You typically go to bed around 9:30/10PM and sleep until 4 when you wake up ready for a bottle and then sleep again until around 7:30. Amazing progress my baby girl and daddy and I are thankful for you actively participating in sleep parties!
As for playtime, you still love your activity mat and are getting better with tummy time, though I can only get you to do it twice a day for about 15 minutes each session…you are able to hold your head up for long periods of time now, which is FANTASTIC! Still no rolling over yet, but we have been super close-I know it’s going to happen any day and I will be just devastated if I miss that big moment. However, instead of rolling over, you have now figured out how to inch your way across the room on your back. You drag your heels into the floor and scoot about…it is HILARIOUS and I am so glad I’ve got videos of this to show you one day. Let’s not forget about bathtime…it is your favorite part of the day and you smile and “oh and ahh” the entire time you’re in the tub.
You have also completely said goodbye to the pacifier in exchange for your hands…seriously, thank you for being able to self soothe, but you are quite loud my little peanut. They are ALWAYS in your mouth and you love to grab toys with them now, too! Sophie the Giraffe, Lola the lovie, and your blocks are now your favorite toys and you simply cannot be without them.
As for other fun things to mention, I can get you to smile whenever I want by making funny faces and noises. You get so tickled with me and you cannot help but laugh! And when Daddy and I wake you up, you know it’s time to rise and shine and you start wiggling away…glad you like the mornings as much as I do sweet pea.
We still have SO many nicknames for you…peanut, monkey, little bird, and CC so who knows what will stick. Your papa calls you little punk, too!
As for adventures, you had your first playdate with your boyfriends, your first overnight sleepover at Mimi’s house, dipped your feet in the pool for the first time, and you went to your first party/shower to celebrate Brittany’s baby boy Ethan! You are quite the social butterfly my dear…now where in the world do you get this from? đ
Life is simply AMAZING with you Caroline and Daddy and I talk all the time about how we agree that life is way better with you in it. You’re the best part of both of us and we thank God everyday for such a beautiful, healthy, loving child…we love you baby girl!
