This past weekend, we “made the cut” and joined our friends Joe and Megan for a night of fun to celebrate Megan’s big 30th birthday, all aboard the Nashville Pedal Tavern. Let me be the first to tell you that this excursion didn’t disappoint, and if you’re planning to visit Music City, you should definitely add it to your list of must do’s.
Once we all signed our lives away saying we didn’t need helmets (although I think some of us did-haha), they gave us the rules of the road and we were off. I will also mention that NO, there really isn’t a secret motor hidden anywhere…it’s ALL manpower my friends. I wore a summer dress (mostly because my shorts still don’t fit and it was so hot outside so I wanted to be as cool as possible)…I would HIGHLY recommend going the shorts/pants route next time :).
For some strange reason, us girls took the front seats and got to pedaling…and breaking a sweat! Our tour guide turned up the jams and we were singing, yelling at cars, and having too much fun. We stopped at a few local hangouts and got 2-for-1 specials (yes, another perk!). We outsmarted the boys for the rest of the excursion by claiming the back part of the bus and not having to pedal anymore…sneaky sneaky, huh??
All in all, a great time was had by all. We devoured cupcakes, wore fancy schmancy birthday hats and glow bracelets, played a few fun drinking games on-board, and spent the night out with great friends. Not too shabby indeed! And yes, we can still hang every once in awhile…Jeff and I MIGHT have even stopped by Taco Bell on the taxi ride home, too!

That looks like so much fun! Glad you guys had a great time and that you were able to sneak away for a little grown-up fun! đ
Hey! I'm a new reader and love getting a glimpse at your fun life! A question though, how do you balance going out and having fun with nursing/pumping? I have a 1 year old and we switched to formula at 4 months, which was awesome for us, but when we were breastfeeding, I felt like it was so hard to get out! How do you do it?!? đ
what a FUN activity! love hanging out in big groups of great friends!
Oh that sounds like so much fun – and your pics came out awesome! đ

What a fun looking time! I have seen these around Fort Worth and they look like they would be blast. I love the party hats, too!
That looks like so much fun! I wish Manhattan had something like that… but it probably wouldn't be the safest idea haha
I have no idea what a pedal bus is, but I totally want to do it!

Love this! We saw it when we were in town on the house search. I'm thinking about having a birthday party for Russ on it. Great idea for a party!
Oh girl, how fun!!! I totally agree boys have to step up to the peddle. you know I've seen those before and I really did think there was a motor to take over when you drank too- I mean felt too tired. đ
