3 months down, and I can safely say that by George I think we have finally figured you out my dearest. You are a fiesty little thing, something I secretly adore, and you are quickly turning into another sassy one, just like big sister Caroline. Here are a few tid bits and details about your past month:
This Baby Sure Likes to Eat AND Sleep. Some say their babes will slept right through a feeding…while this has happened once or twice, it’s definitely not the regular routine around these parts. You eat at least 7 times a day (sometimes more like 8 or 9) and take about 5 oz per feeding. It’s been all breastmilk up until last week when we introduced formula, just to see what you thought…suffice to say, you’re not a fan for now, but sooner or later you’ll have to get acquainted. I “top you off” with a dream feeding at night just so we can get a good night of sleep out of you…sneaky I know. You nap a few times a day–mostly in the swing or in your crib–and you sleep at night from 10am-5am with an occasional feeding at 3am, then you’re back to sleep until around 8am. And no, I am not bragging, I am saying this because it wasn’t so easy the first go around my friends. I paid my dues in the lack of sleep department I assure you ;).
You are still in 0-3 month clothes, but are filling them out with all your cute pudge and rolls and I can’t hardly handle it…overload I tell you! You are definitely more plump than Caroline was at this age…you’ve got rolls under your chin, and especially in your little legs and I can’t help but steal kisses ALL DAY LONG. Scooting along in Size 1 diapers still, too.
I was supposed to have you start sleeping in your actual nursery this past weekend, yet low and behold, I couldn’t do it and chickened out so you’re still in the bassinet in our room…for now at least. I know soon you’ll be attempting to roll over and whatnot so that sleeping situation will change. Boo hoo :(.
All the Small Things. Lots of little details to brag about this month Miss Carson…you can hold up your head, you babble all the time, you love to be outside, and you found your hands recently–heavens my darling you LOVE to suck on your hands, and quite loudly at that!! Hey, if it keeps you from crying, I am totally OK and will let you “do your thing”.
You are a baby that ALWAYS wants to be held and there is nowhere you’d rather be than wrapped up in my arms–can’t lie, I am savoring all this because who knows if I will ever get these itty bitty baby cuddles again. I think we have let you have your way one too many times and I can tell I have spoiled you in that area…oops mama fail. Bath time is another fun “event” and you love soaking in your tub while big sister has a waterfall party with the faucet…I know, we do it big around here my friends–haha.
In terms of activity, big hits still involve the activity mat and swatting/kicking your toys, and now we have introduced the snug seat into the daily rotation of fun. You love to sit back, relax, and look up at the lights. When we lay you on your back, you are starting to figure out how to roll and get about 1/2 way on your side before laying back down…more to report on that end soon I am sure! We also brought out the activity/jumpy seat last week to see what you thought–mostly you love to hear the music and see everything light up, but it has been a good way to wear you out before putting you to sleep for naps.before bedtime.
Night time/after dinner is still your “fussy” time, but Daddy and I usually switch it up with holding you and playing with you after Caroline goes to sleep…I can’t lie, I enjoy having you to ourselves a bit and it’s crazy how “easy” it is when we only have you to watch. Everyone told me going from one child to two would be easy, but it’s funny to think back at how frazzled we were with one baby…that seems like a piece of cake now.
Firsts to Report/Etc. This month, you had your first go-around with the church nursery (you were a champ and slept the entire time), you had a few shopping excursions with Mommy and Mimi, you had your first FULL night of sleep (10pm-7am), you sat in the snug seat for the first time, you played in the activity/jumpy, you watched your first UT football game/and dressed up accordingly, and went to your first cookout. It’s been a great month indeed! You also love to “coo” and talk to me, smile all the time (love that BIG grin), and are QUITE ticklish! Nicknames: Little Bit, Liz (what gran and papa are calling you), Peanut
That’s all to report for this month my dear…each and everyday I am trying to soak it all up and I am enjoying all this time I get to spend with you! It’s amazing how we get so wrapped up in the day to day things we need to accomplish, but when I am with my two girls, I haven’t a care in the world and EVERYTHING else can wait.. until next time!! OXOX

stopping by from http://www.GloriOnline.com and your babies are so cute! I have a 23 month old little girl and a baby boy who turns 3 months TOMORROW!! 🙂
Love your blog Natasha! My little girl is 10 weeks and thinking about a activity/jumper/Exersaucer thing. Wishing I would have registered for one and so have been researching on to buy to get the best bang for our buck. What do you have? Do you recommend one if you're using the same one you used with Caroline, have you seen a different one you would have liked to buy? Thanks for the input!
I can't even get over the sister pictures!! Two little beauties!
Precious! Both of your girls are dolls:) And you are so right – it's so easy to get caught up in everything that needs to be accomplished every day. Until your baby looks up at you and grins and babbles…And then everything else just kind of melts away.
My goodness, she is precious. I just love that big toothless gummy grin. Oh, I miss those little baby sucking noises and babbles too. She is just the cutest.
