When looking for blog post inspiration, I started thinking that it has been QUITE some time since I have shown off pictures of the house…basically, the last time I showed it was when I was done with Caroline’s nursery and boy, have we done some tweaking since then. I thought it would be fun to go room by room to point out details and such of each room. I am by no means a professional decorator, but I do have a pretty good idea of what I like/don’t like so when I find something, I instantly love it or it goes back to the store.
First up, our main level “formal” living room. I use formal lightly, as it’s difficult to have anything “formal” when you have two small children in your home. This is the room we use when guests are over, when Caroline gets up in the morning to play while I make breakfast, etc…it’s an open space, and one that I love because it gets so much natural light. And yes, there are toys everywhere in here on most days…these pics were taken when one wasn’t home, and one was napping đ

I love it! It seems so cozy & inviting! My favorite thing though is the chalk board sign behind the chair of your Summer bucket list! That is such a fun idea!! Even though I don't have kids I think it would still be fun to do something similar for Fall! Have a great day!!
So pretty, Natasha! We have a Nadeau here in Charlotte (Christina and Laura got me hooked on it!) and I love their selection. Ian and I wish we knew about that store when we were first furnishing our home!

Adorable! You have the best for simple, yet adorable decor!
pretty pretty! I LOVE NADEAU (as April pointed out!) We have a white couch in our living room! Does it drive you crazy now that you have babes running around? I'm worried I might pull my hair out trying to keep that thing clean once we have little ones!
So warm and inviting!! Such a great space..and I love the little touches of "baby girls" around! đ
So I just have to stop, and take a moment, and tell you – I love seeing the transitions your home has gone through. I started following a LONG time ago and saw when you first decorated it and now seeing the baby toys and stroller makes my heart melt for you and your adorable family. God bless y'all! I hope you continue to have blessings in this pretty home. Love, Kristen O. {southerndoeandcompany.blogspot.com}
Such a pretty room! Can't wait to see more!
Love this room! You definitely have a knack for decorating!
I love the cozy feel of your living room! The wood floors make it very welcoming and warm. Besides the zebra chair, I think my favorite thing is the 2013 summer bucket list sign behind the chair. I love that you wrote it down for your family to see all summer đ
LOVE this space and all the natural light!
Love all of those colored pillows and that animal print chair..swoon!
LOVE this room! I am also a huge fan of Nadeau! đ

I love that you're doing a home tour! It is so much fun to see how people decorate their homes and what they do to make them a "home" and not just a house.
I love it. It looks so warm and inviting!
Beautiful. The chalkboard is adorable.
I love what you've done with this room. It is so warm, inviting, and cozy!
The Grass Skirt
Such a cozy, sweet room! Also, strange that this is what I pulled out of that stunning room, BUT that owl Scentscy, is about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Do you have a scentsy dealer that you recommend?
Beautiful! So cozy. I love all the different elements with the frames, flowers, and pillows.
Love the mix and match of patterns! And glad to see that I'm not the only Mama that is crazy enough to have a white couch with kids. đ
That fireplace is incredible! Love these types of posts.
I love how cozy and put together your house is! Your great-grandmothers chair-priceless! Cannot wait to see more of your pretty abode!
