Breakfast Done Right… The Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwich

I always have people asking me what my normal food intake looks like on a daily basis and today I’m highlighting one of my favorite things ever… BREAKFAST! 

If your mornings are as crazy as ours, then surely you’re like me when looking for breakfast that’s easy, quick, and packed with protein to keep bellies fuller, longer. No, the normal cereal routine just won’t cut it for this mama… but I NEVER go without breakfast.. after all, it’s the most important meal of the day, right?? And yes, I totally sound like my mother right now… rise and shine my friends!

I’m a HUGE fan of breakfast sandwiches and one of my go-to favs is Jimmy Dean’s Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant version. It helps start my day off right and I can’t lie… it’s amazing to be able to sit down with a cup of coffee, a hot sandwich, and catch up on the morning news before the minis and Jeff come to join in the chaos.

Tell me you’ve seen the famous sunshine man commercials from Jimmy Dean, too right? They are hilarious, and from someone who used to work in the advertising agency world, I love their campaign… and it’s right on target too because I find myself resembling the cloudy persona if I don’t eat first thing in the AM, and that can make for a cranky mama I assure you.

Another winning point… From the refrigerator, I removed the wrapper and wrapped it in a paper towel. I microwaved it on high for 1.5 minutes (depending on how strong your microwave is). Then I let it stand in the microwave for 1 minute before serving… that was fast! Yes, easy is critical during our weekday routines. I love when I see all these Pinterest pictures for breakfast recipes, but let’s be honest, most of us aren’t blessed with that amount of time on a daily basis, so this is my go-to… and one that the girls will eat, too so it’s a win win for everyone. However, having said that, the easy factor can be a bad thing when I look into the fridge on occasion and find the refrigerator raider has eaten the last of my sandwiches… JEFF!!!
