One. New Read for the Month
I was struggling to get through my last few books… then I realized they were all non-fiction so OBVIOUSLY I needed some mindless literature to keep me engaged and entertained! I was told by a TON of people to read The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins so I immediately snatched it up this week! Getting excited to crawl into bed tonight (how old am I?) and get started on this new read!
Two. Glitter Mill Grand Opening
Another new local shopping delight is having their Grand Opening party tomorrow and you best bet I will be there checking out all the arrivals and sampling the goods of one of our favorite food trucks, Retro Sno! Giveaways + prizes throughout the day… yes please! The Mill is located in West Nashville and is a storefront for two sisters, Lauren and Allie, and features unique pieces, including women’s clothing, accessories, and shoes for the fashion forward Southern woman and price points range from $29-90. Follow The Mill on Instagram for updates on grand opening discounts and giveaways. Doors open at 11am and will continue into the evening with hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine and a drawing for a gift basket that includes a gift card and hand picked items from the new boutique. Love shopping small 🙂
Three. Shopping for a Cause
Monday night, the ladies and I hit up the new Nashville Kendra Scott store to support our friend Jocelyn, and the Our Kids organization and help give back to the community. The ladies of KS were donating 20% of the proceeds during the shopping event to this amazing non-profit and we were able to help give almost $1,000 to Our Kids… job well done! And yes, we took home some goodies for ourselves, too. My newest additions included this fun new cuff bracelet and this gorgeous turquoise ring.
Four. Finishing Touches
I know some of you have been asking me when am I FINALLY going to give you a tour of CC’s big girl room and I promise I haven’t forgotten… Kendall and I are working together to put the finishing touches together for her space and complete the art install as well as the little details that always make it stand out and then we can call it our masterpiece. So stay tuned, I assure you it’s coming soon!
Five. Five on Friday Summertime Break
A little bit of update coming your way to round out my five today as a few of us gals are going to be taking a summertime hiatus from our Five on Friday linkup… luckily, April is going to keep our beloved FoF going strong while we step back for a bit, but I assure you I will be participating here and there and checking in with you guys on Fridays because it’s a great way to start the weekend off! And no, this isn’t a permanent break, just a little time to take some R&R and spend more time with the minis when I can break away from work!
That’s it for me dolls… we have another jam packed weekend full of family time, Emory’s 2nd birthday celebration, church, and Chrissy’s baby shower so it’s time for me to say hasta la vista and hit the ground running so I can finish up all my errands and work! Have a WONDERFUL weekend and cheers!
