I think I might have been one of the last of my kind to test out the waters and get my hair done at a blowout bar… please tell me I’m not alone?? I guess it takes me awhile to get crazy and subject myself to wild beauty fun, so when Deidre contacted me about having me over to do my hair and blog about it, I knew it would be a great opportunity to try something new, learn some tricks of the trade, and maybe just host a super fun giveaway for local girls to win a blowout of their very own!
Blowout Co. is Nashville’s very first salon dedicated to the quick and beautiful blowout, and with two convenient locations, you’re sure to find one that works for you (Brentwood and Belle Meade). They offer a variety of services and local gals will love that their menu is named after neighborhoods in Nashville… the Eastside for a messy blowout, the Gulch for sleek and straight, the Lower Broad for big, curly volume, and the Belle Meade, which is a classic blowout. You’ll also find stylists on staff who can apply your makeup, put on those fun eyelashes we all love, and you can visit the Blowout Co. for updos, too!
So, back to my visit… after talking with Deidre about my hair and what I was looking for in a blowout, we took a before photo, and she took me to the shampoo area and got to work! Add in a little bubbly for more relaxation and this gal was happy as pie. Once she was done, she used some amazing Kevin Murphy products on my hair, dried my hair, and then did all her fairy godmother tricks to turn my hair into this… yes, I loved the finished product.
Next came the tutorial on how to maintain this look. Now let me be the first to admit that I was skeptical to see if the blowout lasted on my mane, as I am a messy sleeper. So Deidre gave me some useful tricks (and tools) to help make the process easier. She sent me home with this Fresh Hair Dry Shampoo, this Session Spray for weightless hold, and the Texture Comb which helps give texture to my hair, yet still keep it in control. Deidre was amazing and even showed me how to sleep on my hair at night (loose top knot bun on my head with a special clip placed behind) to ensure no crazy morning after hair.
This is me on day two… after using the Dry Shampoo and the Texture Comb… not too shabby, right?? Can’t lie, this was so easy to recreate and it was a breeze to get out the door that day! So much less time spent getting ready, which was a nice change of pace.
And now to show day three… now I can’t lie, I was ready to wash my hair by the end of day three, as I had a crazy workout session so it was time, but I was shocked to see how well my mane did after the blowout, and I will absolutely be visiting again. Deidre told me it can take some time to properly “train” your hair, but you can absolutely get it to a place where you only shampoo 1-2 times a week… hello time saver!!!
Local ladies… interested in winning a blowout of your very own?? Enter to win below to win 1 of 2 blowouts from Blowout Co. and mention Hello! Happiness if any of you gals go in over the next week to visit and they will take 20% off your blowout! And thanks again to the ladies over at Blowout Co. for having me over for a fun, relaxing visit… it was such a pleasure working with you gals and I had a blast!
Your hair looks AMAZING!!! Beautiful!
Oh my gosh.. that looks amazing!!!
I usually do everything I can to try & make my hair last between days to wash. I hate straightening it.
You look gorgeous!!! I want to start saving my pennies and make this a weekly treat! đ Cannot wait to try out!
I am up to getting three days out of a wash, but I cannot imagine only washing one time a week! You hair looks fantastic!
Oh man i have a gift card for a blow out. I need to use it asap
So pretty!! I only wash about 2x a week and I love it. I've been really "good" about my hair and only putting it in braids for the past 11 weeks – no heating elements at all! But a nice blowout would be good. I'll have to see if there are any dry bars in Seattle!!
Gorgeous!! It turned out great! xoxo
You have the best hair! I love the blowout!
I've never had a blowout but your hair looks great!! I'll have to try it one of these days.
Looks great. SeriousQuestion. What type of shoes are you wearing with your boot cut pants in this pic? Lol! I'm having a hard time with choosing what to wear with mine. After your Tina adams post I've been researching. đ
Here you go! They are nude wedges and I LOVE THEM!! http://www.saksoff5th.com/thrice-faux-leather-paneled-wedges/0490353182629.html?site_refer=MSNLIVE001_OFF&CA_6C15C=120133820000640340
Thanks lady! Looks great!
LOVE your hair! You inspired me so much that I made me an appointment with Deidre for next weekend. I live in Shelbyville so its not too far for me. I have been suffering from severe depression after loosing my 29 year brother in a vehicle accident and I am hoping this will boost my self-esteem. Thank you so much for sharing! I read your blog daily and follow you on Instragram! You have such a beautiful family!
sweet one… i hope you have a great experience with her, too!!! i promise she will do wonders and i absolutely hope it puts a smile on your face during this difficult time OXOX
I've never gotten a blow out! Your hair looks fab, now I wish I had somewhere fun to go so I could get one too!
I"ve never had a blowout but there are tons of salons around Dallas that are like the one above. I think I'm the only one in Dallas that has not been to a blow out salon. Now I feel like I need to go.
I am completely obsessed with our blowout bar in Raleigh, I can't get enough! Your hair looks fabulous! Xo, Stephanie
