Oh heavens, I’m just over here dreaming of some dining room inspiration… I already told our favorite designer in the world [Kendall Simmons if you haven’t heard me talk of her yet], and I am itching to get started on the first room you see when you walk into our home.
Right now, you’ll stroll through and see beige {ICK!] walls, our well-loved dining room set from our former home, as well as floral curtains that were left from the people we bought the house from. To say we need new decor in this space would be putting it lightly.
Of course I got online, searched Pinterest and Houzz until I was blue in the face, stalked some favorite Instagram designers, and then sent my ideas to Kendall so she could come up with some inspiration for the room. Basically, I said I wanted big bold COLOR [nope, I’m not afraid of it], some type of patterned wallpaper on the upper half of the walls above the wainscoting [another MUST], to incorporate the gold chandelier that’s currently in the room, and of course add a bar cart to cater to our love of fancy cocktails and because it’s a fun element to house in a formal dining room. So excited to see what she comes up with [per usual]… here are some of the pictures I shared with Kendall for inspiration:

Take that love of color and run with it, girlfriend! I polled friends and family for their input on a color for our master bathroom and while the majority of them voted for a light, beachy color (Sea Salt), I went with a deep blue (Tranquil Pond). Contrasted against the white trim and wainscoting, it is PERFECTION. Life's too short to live in a beige world đ Happy weekend!
I'm a fan! Excited to see the transformation! I also big splashes of color in an otherwise neutral decor. I just painted my dining room last month with a deep blue and I love love love it.

Girl, you know I love a bold color in the dining room. Our walls were deep cobalt! Word of caution…it limits your holiday decorations to metallics (not a bad thing!!!) xo
The second room is so perfection!!! I'm pinning it for my dining room!
i LOVE the first room! âĨ
Well, I can't wait to see what you actually end up doing. I think it's all about what you want, it's your house and that's just the way it should be. :o)))
Can't wait to see the finished product!!!
Oh I love the big, bold pops of green!! Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Those are all so different from each other I can't wait to see what she comes up with! You need to post a before pic too. I am glad you mentioned your designers name again cause I am shopping for a new one. My old one who I LOVE is pregnant with 4th baby ( all under 3 years old) so she is not working đ
