Last week, I shared our 2015 Christmas Cards, but since so many of you were asking about our portraits, I wanted to dedicate a special feature to the gal behind the lens who shot these amazing pictures of the three people I love most.
Michelle reached out a few months ago to talk about collaborating together and I couldn’t contain my excitement after I checked out some of her talented work from her website. From headshots to family and children to beauty and more, she is truly gifted in what she is able to capture.
She’s had a love affair with photography from the age of 8 when she and her dad built a pinhole camera and darkroom. She has lived in so many incredible places [including Peru and South Dakota to name a few] and she was professionally educated in Photography and Photoshop in NYC and LA.
So, here is just a sampling of her talents, as presented by my sweet little family:
When she came to our house to have our “image debut”, what surprised us most was the overall presentation… already enlarged and matted, just ready to be framed. That could be why it was so hard to pick! I cannot wait to find special places for these keepsakes all throughout our home.
And some of you asked where we shot… believe it or not, it was in our neighborhood in the most unlikely of places. Check out MIchelle’s blog post about Location Scouting, and you can see more of her talents in how she recreated a rock wall and made our photos picture perfect.
