What’s In My Bag? Top Beauty Must Haves || Winter Edition

When it comes to winter, I am trying to stay moisturized, covered, and my getting ready routine drastically gets a lot shorter, mainly because I don’t want to hassle with the fuss when I am wearing big sweaters, long pants, scarves, hats, and such… let’s not waste time, shall we?? 

Here is a roundup of my must have beauty goodies, all displayed so you can see what’s truly in my bag of fun! 

Let’s begin with the basics… the foundation of your face. I start with Therapy Systems Skin Normalizer, which hydrates against cold winter weather and it takes only a small bit, to which I apply on my face and neck. Moving on to SPF and yes, you should still apply this even during chilly months as those clouds can be deceiving… Make Beauty Face Prime/SPF 30 is my hands down favorite as it’s lightweight, with no harsh smell, and it helps keep my makeup in place ALL day. 

MAKEUP

Onto the other makeup essentials, like the end-all of eyeshadow, the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Some items I won’t fork out the big bucks for, but this is one I can truly say I can’t live without, because it lasts forever, stays put [especially when you use their amaze eyeshadow primer], and the colors can be blended depending on your mood, occasion, etc. I’m also a fan of the NYX Super Fat Eye Marker when I want a more dramatic eyeliner and because cooler months are the perfect time to switch from dark to light, my two go-to shades for my lips are NARS Matte Lipstick in Scarlett Empress as well as Too Faced Lipstick in Nude Beach… totally opposite ends of the spectrum, but both amazing in their own way.  Finally for the face, my last two spill-worthy secrets include this Bare Minerals Lash Domination Mascara, which helps lengthen lashes [especially now that I amtaking a break from eyelash extensions] and the world’s best Benefit High Beam Highlighter, which gives you that “glow” we are all trying to find in the effort to make our cheekbones look good. 

And last, but certainly not least is all things for the body… you know, that other part that sometimes we forget to treat. I’ve recently become a BIG fan of the Dove Cool Essentials Dry Spray, because it’s not like your typical deodorant and it’s easy to throw in my purse for daily back and forth. I’m STILL an avid believer in the holy grail of Body Drench Original Body Lotion, and I cannot run out… it’s BAD when I do because my skin turns dry and flaky and it’s just not pretty. And since it’s winter and we all want to smell nice, I change it up from body splash and move to actual perfume with the Tocca Stella Eau de Parfum… it’s a unique scent that not everyone wears and it seriously takes only 2-3 dabs to make you smell perfectly feminine. 

There you have it… and yes, props to my fun new makeup bag AKA Baggu Leather Clutch… it was time to retire the old mess and debut a new cosmetic case for the new year.
