Love is in the air my friends… and it’s not just because valentine’s is fast approaching! Today I’m sharing some happy little things that have made me smile this week. We are headed to visit Jeff’s side of the family in Knoxville so I am checking out and saying adios until next week. Have a WONDERFUL, relaxing few days.
one. you can never go wrong with nude
Well, that rings true in shoes at least! I just scooped up these
pretty little sandals for spring and cannot wait for warm weather to break them in… special occasion, dressing up an outfit, or wearing with jeans, these are going to be a staple for the season for this high-heel loving lady! Other favs I checked out included these
Bongo Booties, these
Yardley Laceups, and these
Kova Wedge Sandals.
two. give a little love
Check out these LOVELY tees that a fellow mompreneur sent to the girls and I to sport this weekend… she’s got her own embroidery shop,
Mrs B and Company, that she runs and I am all about supporting other moms working AND succeeding. Matching tees for running around town are fun and the girls love coordinating with mama whenever possible. Thanks Julia!
three. did you say pimento cheese??
I found this recipe on
Natalie’s blog a few weeks ago and bookmarked it in my Pinterest
food love board so that I could easily find it! Pimento cheese + bacon = winning! We have a few functions coming up involving both the ladies and the guys and I am thinking this is going to be an app that will please everyone.
four. packing help for the weak AKA me
I’m a horrible packer. Yep, as much as I try, I simply cannot pack “just” the essentials… I’m a girl and I change my mind, or feel like something doesn’t fit correctly and let’s face it, my mood changes a lot so I never know what I am going to feel like bringing on a trip. That’s where packing bags come into play… easy to compartmentalize, easy to group items together [workout wear, unmentionables, jeans, tops, toiletries, etc] and these
handy dandy ones from Ikea are just $10 for a pack of four. I use them for pretty much anywhere I go and have started using them for the girls, too! Money well spent to feel WAY more organized when we’re away from home.
five. big fancy valentine’s day plans
Please tell me I’m not the only one out there that isn’t doing a fancy date night out Sunday night?? Instead, Jeff and I decided that since we’ve both been traveling so much, we wanted to take the girls out for a family date night instead… we’ve got a fun evening planned, packed with Kung Fu Panda 3 at the movies, and then out to eat wherever the girls choose. Heavens, V-day plans sure have changed, and I wouldn’t have it ANY other way!
Your Valentine's Day sounds PERFECT to me!! Chad is going to teach me how to cook gnocchi…exciting night! đ
now i want lessons in that!!!!
mmmm i want that pimento cheese app! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
ME TOO… i have to find an excuse to make it
Love those Ikea bags. I have such a hard time packing just the things I "need" too! Will definitely be looking into those!
they DEFINITELY help!!
Thanks for posting those Ikea packing bags! I really need those! I can't stand how unorganized my clothes get when I travel. Have a fab weekend!
