I’ve been trying out some new Beautycounter products the past few weeks and I’ve been mighty impressed… the Protect Stick Sunscreen is going to be a permanent purse staple. It’s kid-friendly and both the girls don’t mind me applying it to their face and skin, and the smell is perfect for spring and summer, too [remember, sunscreen EVERYDAY my friends]. I’ve also been on the hunt for a new tinted moisturizer and their Dew Skin is lightweight, covers well, and perfect as an everyday cream that hides and keeps my skin protected with built-in SPF 20 [I ordered the No.3 color and it blends well with my other products]. Finally, I asked my friend Alaina for a cream to help fight the signs of aging and she came through with the Uplifting Day Cream. I tend to get red-tones on my skin during the spring and summer months so I am hoping this helps combat that, too. Loving that their entire line is known for using only the best AND safest ingredients…

two || beat the clock game rewind

Looking for a fun group activity that everyone can have fun with AND is something original? A few Fridays ago, we headed to Beat the Clock Nashville to participate in a girls and guys night out, playing their Cursed Kingdom game… locally owned and operated, it’s a fun experience we all enjoyed, connecting the dots and their escape game didn’t disappoint. We were all so excited we managed to complete the game with time to spare and will definitely be going back to their second room, Antidote.

I’m so sad to see that one of my long-time online shops, Shop Ruche, is closing… they sent a letter out to friends the other day letting us know the details and why they are walking away, but they are also going out with one big bang and some fantastic deals you can scoop up on NEW merchandise as they clear the racks. The countdown is officially on until we head to Rosemary Beach next month!! It seriously can’t come soon enough as both Jeff and I have been traveling like crazy the past few months and a full week of R&R with friends and our babies cannot come soon enough… and to get our sand spread ready, I found this ADORABLE round pom pom beach towel yesterday… under $30 = score! 

Presentation is everything, right?? I love putting together a fun little gift basket for friends, whether it’s for a special occasion, one to add a little sunshine to brighten their day, or a little homemade goody in celebration of a new home… I just assembled this together with some home essentials from J.R. Watkins, a TN tea towel, the Garden & Gun Southerner’s Handbook, packs of everyone’s favorite candy, a gingham pail from Target, and of course my most favorite candle in the world. Nothing fancy, but super cute and practical, too!
