I know Mother’s Day isn’t technically until Sunday, but I’m sharing all the love I can for my mom today. I found the perfect card and was so excited to share the words with her when we celebrated on Wednesday that I wanted to make sure I included it here for others…
It talked about how she was my very first teacher, the one who taught me most everything in life: how to tie my shoe, how to overcome challenges, how to be kind to others, the list goes on and on. More than a mother, she has been my world, my rock, and continues to do so even to this day.
Mimi has faced her share of obstacles in life and for how she has handled those setbacks with unending grace, dignity, and strength, I’ll never know, nor could I imagine. This past year has tested us all emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, but we have come out stronger on the other side and I’m so proud of our Mimi for taking cancer on and winning.
Mom, for everything you do, for everything you’ve given, for the love, the kindness, the advice and unending hugs and kisses, I hope you know I am honored beyond words to be your daughter. You are the role model most could only dream of and even now, you still manage to teach me new things each day.
You’re an incredible wife to Dad, Mimi to our girls, mother-in-law to Jeff, sister to Denise and Michele, daughter to Gran and Papa, and friend to so many who know and love you. I am so very proud to call you MY Mom. Happy Mother’s Day… I love you the most! OXOX
