Oh hello there friends!!! Happy Thursday AKA so close to the weekend day I can feel it in my bones… I am back with my beloved friends at Opry Mills for another fashionable roundup. I love working with them SO MUCH because they make it fun for me to talk shopping which I LOVE and it gives me an excuse to visit one of our local shopping destinations for budget friendly finds as well.
This trip’s overall goal was to find transitional pieces that you can wear now AND into spring when warmer weather finally decides to stick around our town. Easy enough, right?!?!? And off we go!
As a mom, wife, business owner and blogger, I need pieces that serve a multitude of purposes, are functional and fashionable and I’ve been known to dress in layers… first up, I stopped in to H&M to pay a little visit to one of my go-to retailers who is all about neutral basics that pair well with others.
I tried on a ton of versatile tops and bottoms, but ultimately fell in love with this Striped Cotton Ruffle Blouse [a steal at just $29]. I then layered it up for current temperature outfit styling with this Navy Cotton Jacket with Gold Buttons [only $59]. Add in a pair of their stretchy Super Skinny High Waisted Jeggings [heck yes they are just $20] and you’re all set!!
For the second look, I tossed the jacket and jeans and added in some cuffed Light Wash Denim Shorts [a score for a mere $19] and this outfit screams casual, fun spring style. P.S. go ahead and add in your favorite sunnies and layering necklaces and some slip-on shoes to top it off!
Moving right along, my next stop on the shop-til-you-drop event was to the Gap Factory Store, where they were busily adding all sorts of color and pattern to their store’s displays = insert happy face for this gal who LOVES bright and bold.
The blouse I decided to use as my inspiration was this Butterfly Print Split Neck Top which is on sale for $34 and it’s a classic and feminine staple that is always in style. For the winter-ish look, I paired it with some Black Skinny Jeans [a must-have for every wardrobe and only $20]. It’s a simple look anyone can pull off, but still looks put together enough for anything you’ve got on your plate.
Then I found my way to the table full of new arrivals and SHORTS and couldn’t say no to these Apple Red City Shorts… for a mere $16, they take any outfit up a notch and I might have walked out with a few more colors [the chambray and blue print are even cuter in person!]
I then paid a visit to another favorite, the JCrew Factory Store… their assortment of practical, yet stylish finds never let me down and this shopping trip was no exception! I stumbled across this Striped Bell Sleeve Top [which comes in multiple colorways might I add] and I knew this trendy top was coming home with me… it’s a thick cotton, which pairs well through any season and it was only $27! For the first winter look, I matched it with these Dolphin Wash Skinny Ankle Jeans [on sale for $47] and I love that it’s a hipper style of denim than I normally gravitate to, which changes it up a bit. And of course if you don’t have a utility style jacket, you need THIS Olive Option… Then for the spring style, being the short guru that I am, I snagged these Chambray Shorts [just $23… YAY!], a must for every gal for a casual look that everyone can pull off!
Finally, a trip to Opry Mils couldn’t be complete without a walk-in to the Old Navy Store! As soon as I walked in, I saw these Tea Rose Rockstar Color Jeans [only $34] and knew this was the piece to pick. For the current temperature ensemble, I added in a Classic Chambray Button Up Shirt, just $18 for this wardrobe MUST, and then I added in a Long Line Blazer in Black, another piece that every gal should have in her arsenal [p.s. this one is a steal at $42]. Finally, I switched out the top half for this $19 Sky Way Lightweight Sweater, which made my ensemble pop just like the flowers starting to bloom.
From my bags of loot, I think it’s safe to say I stocked up in a major way at Opry Mills and I have a feeling you’ll be doing the same this season!!
