Years ago, I was someone who found a beauty product she loved and stuck with it. Now I’ve upped my game a bit and a definite perk of blogging has been establishing relationships with beauty brands I not only like, but genuinely love and use daily. When seasons change, most of us edit our beauty routines and incorporate new tones, hues, and such to test out some newness, so today I am sharing five beauty products I am currently loving:
STILA SMUDGE STICK WATERPROOF EYE LINER
Fact: A hidden talent is that I can apply my eyeliner without looking in a mirror! This useless ability came to be quite helpful in college and as a single girl out on the town [haha], but if you’re like me, you’ve tried 17238 eyeliners trying to find one that 1) lasted, 2) stayed put and didn’t smear and 3) was waterproof. FINALLY, at age 34, I found my winner… I use the Smudge Stick Eye Liner in Damsel and love that it’s brownish-black, therefore it’s not as harsh. At $22, it’s not too pricey either.
DIOR AIRFLASH SPRAY FOUNDATION
Spray foundation?? Yes, you read that correctly… I’ve been trying this Airflash Foundation in Cameo and I love it. It goes on easily without feeling “cakey/heavy” and you get that airburshed look that is super smooth and helps to achieve that perfectly even skin tone. I spray it directly on my face and then blend with a sponge and/or brush, but you can also rub onto your hands if you prefer a direct application. P.S. a little bit goes a long way!!
URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN COMPLETE COVERAGE CONCEALER
Another challenging beauty product [for me at least] is concealer… hello, you need it to HIDE the flaws, not enhance them like some seem to after a few hours on your face, so I’ve searched high and low for a full-coverage product that does what it says. This Naked Skin Concealer covers my skin discolorations that never seem to fade [thank you very much post-pregnancy symptoms that linger for years] and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines, especially those little pesky crow’s feet ones!
MAC COSMETICS PRO LONGWEAR PAINT POT
I RARELY wear powder/palette eyeshadow anymore… a few years ago, a friend turned me onto Paint Pods and I’ve been hooked ever since. Now that autumn is here [well technically based on the calendar it’s fall], it’s time to start incorporating more browns and golds into my makeup palette. This Indianwood Paint Pot color is a MUST for any skin tone and it’s highly pigmented so it stays put LIKE ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. It’s creamy and dries quickly and I tend to have watery eyes, and this is the only product I have found that doesn’t make crease and/or flake off! And yes, you’ll fall in love that you’ll want to add more hues to your collection, too: other favs include Painterly and Vintage Selection.
DIOR COUTURE COLOR LIPSTICK | EXUBERANT MATTE
This has been my go-to shade for a few months, and I’m sticking with it even as we transition to cooler temps… afterall, I’m a girl who loves some bold lips and I just can’t seem to pull the nude tones off like some of you out there. This Dior Couture Lipstick stays put, keeps my lips moisturized and the color is absolute PERFECTION! If this shade isn’t your jam, Dior has more than 50 tones to choose from so you are sure to find your match.
I want to try everything, especially the Dior lipstick!! Thanks for sharing all of these!!
Wait, how did I never know about Paint Pods?! I need to try them immediately! I also love the color of that lipstick! Perfect shade for fall.
