one. destination spring break

Last week, I was telling Jeff I was getting the fever… beach fever that is!!! All this winter nonsense [yes snow may be coming again next week] had me dreaming of surf and sand and so we decided to take a little trip south to our favorite place in the world, Rosemary Beach, for the girls’ Spring Break this year. Let’s be honest, I think a little quality time on 30a is just what the doctor ordered… March can’t come soon enough I tell you!

two. nada nashville

Last Saturday night, Jeff and I got a sitter and had a last minute date night out together… it had been WAY too long since we had some one on one time together so we headed to Midtown to the brand new Nada Nashville and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere in the restaurant is open and inviting, with an uber cool vibe and it’s got the perfect menu for a couple’s night, group dinner and girl’s fun, too! Of course, we wanted to sample everything so we munched on everything from their tableside Queso Gringo to their Lobster Roll Bolsas [hands down favorite for me] and their famous tacos, too–be sure to try the Mu Shu Pork Belly + Mexico City Pastor. If you’re on the hunt for a fun new place, this is a must-try for sure! [and yes, these pics are going to make you hungry-LOL].

five. all things love

Everyone has LOVE on their brain right now, and I am taking a conscious effort this year to try to share more real life stuff with you… I’ve had a ton of you asking for my favorites in the beauty department right now and what products I actually use on my face and I wanted to take a minute to tell you about Colleen Rothschild Beauty. As I am inching closer to 35, I have noticed my skin has definitely changed–in more ways than one, but I am trying to work on preventing the damage by using products that help combat the aging process. I love that it doesn’t have a greasy feel and doesn’t smell like sunscreen, but that it’s heavily pigmented to protect my skin.
