Oh goodness it feels like it’s been AGES since I’ve written a post specifically dedicated to my little ladies… this year, I told you I’m all about incorporating more LIFE posts into the blog! For one, I love to keep y’all in the know of what we are up to AND because it’s still my favorite way to document life for our family.

So, it’s been a month full of craziness and pure joy [and insanity if I am being honest] with the holidays and the girls being out of school. We had SO much family time together and I was tremendously thankful for the opportunity that Jeff and I both could take off for a week during Christmas for some much needed quality time with the girls. We had movie dates, afternoon fun at the pottery studio, gymnastics camps, play dates with friends, game nights at home… the list goes on and on! It was truly the best way to decompress, unwind from the insanity that was the holiday sales season [for the blog AND Sugar Bit as well as Jeff’s busiest time at work], so we were grateful for the brief reprieve.
Let’s talk about my babies [yes, they will be my babies, even when they are grown and married]:
Caroline | Someone is quickly approaching SIX and I cannot for the life of me understand how we got here so quickly. She’s doing SO well in kindergarten and has made some of the sweetest friends… I am thankful for friends who have walked down the road of kindergarten before, as they advice and help has been instrumental. We’ve had a few rough patches, but I CC is loving her time at school and her favorite thing so far seems to be math and art! She has also been BEGGING for violin lessons for the past few months, so this past weekend we took her to The Violin Shop to get her own violin and she’ll begin lessons at Sky Studios next week!! She is absolutely thrilled and I am slightly envious as I’ve always wish I played an instrument… having said that, I’m hoping we can segregate practice to a separate room in the house ;). She has also been taking gymnastics for about five months now and is enjoying it SO much… the instructors at Let it Shine are truly amazing and she has finally mastered the perfect cartwheel!
Our oldest has also asked for a skate party for her birthday so this mama has started all the planing for that big undertaking = and is secretly loving every bit of it. Stay tuned for all the inspiration to come!
Finally, other things I wanted to note about our big girl is her love of doing for others, always wanting to help Carson learn, and she insists she is going to be a veterinarian when she grows up! She has quite specific taste when it comes to what she wears lately so mornings before school can be a bit challenging BUT I love her tenacity and her willingness to make her outfits unique and fun. Life with my sweet Caroline just couldn’t be better and I’m so excited for what’s to come next!
Carson | As for our little nugget AKA wild woman, she is forever high energy, filled with spunk and feistyness and I couldn’t love it more… she is 4.5 years old now and is ALWAYS keeping us on our toes. She started gymnastics along with CC last fall and has traded in her ballet shoes for bright leotard and tumbles and flips –perfect for getting out ALL that energy she has!
She is in her last year of preschool and she’ll go to kindergarten in August which sounds CRAZY to even think about. She can count up to 100, is mastering all of her lowercase letters and LOVES to spell.
She keeps telling us she is going to be Belle and live in Disney World when she grows up and I think that sounds like the perfect dream job for our Tink. She’s been going through a growth spurt lately and is hungry ALL THE TIME. She has music in her bones and sings constantly… like full on Broadway baby in the making!!
Life with my “baby” is wonderful… she LOVES her baby dolls, curling up on the couch for cuddle time before bed, and always wants to go shopping at Target [no, I have zero idea where she gets it from]. She is enamored with her big sister in every way and wants to emulate everything she does = it is just TOO sweet.
All in all, life is incredible with C + C. Jeff and I are so very lucky to have two kind, healthy, sweet, thoughtful, and beautiful little girls and not a day goes by where we don’t sit down and thank Him for this wonderful life… oh Caroline and Carson, life is infinitely better with you and I’m humbled to be your mommy. My biggest accomplishment and you’ll never know how proud I am of each of you. I love you the mostest sweet girls OXOX
