We’ve officially moved into April and this mama just realized I never did a full recap/share post of our sweet Caroline’s 6th birthday celebration!! She’s still on a high from all of her roller skating fun [and finally finishing up thank-you cards this week], so I thought it would be a great time to give the play-by-play of her most recent birthday party, complete with amazing local brands and businesses I love to support…
First up, the attire and the paper goods–things that speak to my love language for sure!
Roller Skate Applique Shirt via Elegant Goods | Ruffled Pants via Adorable Essentials | Bow via Little Mint Julep
Custom Stationery via Orange Valentine Design
Cookies via Summer’s Sweet Shoppe
Moving onto the actual party, a neighborhood friend had rented out the skate center in the fall for their daughter’s birthday party and I thought it was a genius idea–that way, we could invite all our friends and family as well as Caroline’s classmates and we’d have plenty of room. They only do that option on Sunday nights from 6pm to 8pm, which was even better so we scheduled it and called it a go!
I scaled WAY back in terms of decor this year, which was hard for this party-planning lover!! We had Kate/Orange Valentine Design create a banner, one of my close friends Sarah/Lovely Little Designs worked her magic on the chalkboard per usual, and then Caroline requested a cookie cake, so that’s what she got. The skate center also offers pizza and drinks with the rental so that made food prep easy peasy and that way we could enjoy the party and let them handle the rest!
Then of course we had to celebrate on her actual birthday, complete with breakfast with Gran and Papa at Puffy Muffin, dinner celebrations at her favorite restaurant for Japanese, and plenty of fun with friends visiting us for the weekend!!
