I feel like birthdays are time to be celebrated… I know some people have major issues with getting older, but my perspective is that it is something to enjoy and savor and so for today’s little daily check-in, I am spilling the beans and telling you 35 things you may not know about me! Here we go friends–buckle up for some fun [and detailed explanations about the girl behind the blog, too]:

1. I went skydiving for my 22nd birthday [and totally didn’t tell my parents until I came home and showed them the video… oops, sorry Mom #askforforgivenessnotpermission]
2. I was on my high school dance team, The Sophisticated Ladies, and most of our dances were hip hop [oh yes! I told you I loved some old school rap]
3. My first concert was Janet Jackson… some of my favorite concerts I’ve been to include Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga and Dave Matthews Band
4. We got pregnant with Caroline the week after our honeymoon [best surprise of my life–along with little nugget of course!!] 5. I played softball when I was growing up… my positions were pitcher and left field [and my parents practiced with me ALL the time… just ask my mom about the time I knocked her down with a line drive hit to her calf] 6. I’m extremely competitive and sometimes wish I wasn’t
7. I love to fish — growing up, I would get up at the crack of dawn and go trout fishing with my Papa [wearing waders and all–obviously now I see where my girls get their love of fishing from]
8. I got saved + baptized when I was 26 years old [still remember that exact moment when God came into my world and how much it changed my perspective on everything]
9. I have one tattoo—a crazy Mexico graduation trip when I was 17 [the story of what my parents said once they find out is a whole story in itself]
10. My natural hair color is Strawberry Blonde [but that shade will most likely never see the light of day, even as much as my hairstylist tries to get me to go au natural]

11. I have scars on my back from a really bad car accident I got in when I was 18 years old [our car hydroplaned, flipped over multiple times and I was trapped inside the car unconscious–yes, I know I am extremely lucky that was the worst of my injuries other than a small heart contusion]
12. My favorite outfit is a romper and wedges
13. I hate the way my voice sounds on camera [I know I am southern and I definitely have that drawl ;)]
14. Favorite destination I’ve been is a tie between Barcelona/Spain and Turks and Caicos
15. Spring is my absolutely favorite season [those crisp mornings, low humidity, breezy days–nothing better]
16. I take my coffee hot with two truvia and a lot of creamer
17. If there was one other city I’d love to live in it would be Charleston, South Carolina [but I’d probably just stalk the cast from Southern Charm because I’m addicted–haha] 18. My major in college was advertising with a minor in business
19. My least favorite part of my body is my legs
20. I love to organize… set me loose in The Container Store and I could stay there for hours
21. My drink of choice is a French 75 [gin, champagne, simple syrup and lemon juice]
22. I absolutely despise potatoes
23. My first TV appearance was when I was 6 and I was on Channel 4/NBC here in Nashville for winning the local Easter Seals competition [famous right?!?!]

24. My favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. I’ve been to Disney World 5 times and Disney Land twice and cannot wait to take the girls back SOON!
25. I’m happiest when I’m on vacation at the beach with my girls playing in the sand
26. I make the best Cream Cheese Banana Bread…. just trust me on this one.
27. I could live on Papa John’s Pizza… seriously, it’s the top part of my food pyramid dreams 😉
28. My first job was working at Pac Sun at the mall. I walked in the day after my 16th birthday and got the job that day because my parents told me if I wanted a cell phone I needed to get a job to pay for it.
29. I can’t stand negative people
30. I am TERRIBLE at math… like I had to study double the time for all my calculus and geometry classes because I am so bad at it, but I’m actually good at accounting and finance–like how is that possible??
31. I share the same birthday as: Luke Bryan, Camilla Parker Bowles and David Hasselhoff
32. My mom and I are literally like twins–as in we talk the same, look SO much alike and can finish each other’s sentences
33. I absolutely LOVE to sing! In the shower, the car, on a stage doing karaoke… have no fear because I’ll break out into song at any time [not saying I am great by any means, but I have zero shame]
34. I always knew I wanted to start my own business
35. My fav color is green and lest favorite is purple
