Nothing like another bright and cheerful Hello Happiness reveal to start this crazy holiday week off, am I right?? If you missed the first room reveal, you can see The Living Room HERE. I know all eyes will be geared towards the technology for all things Thanksgiving, sale shopping and Christmas prep in just a few days, so I wanted to share my favorite room in our newly renovated home, The Kitchen.
When we started our renovation, Jeff and I were both set on transforming our kitchen into the mainstay of our home, especially considering how open it is to our family/living room. Kendall and I sat down, put pen to paper, and executed everything I had been dreaming of for years… not only aesthetically, but in a layout that was conducive to our family, how we use it on a daily basis, as well as how we entertain, etc.
Pinterest never failed me, but it was more fun making it my own… incorporating brass inlay into the navy lacquer island, using lucite knobs on the upper cabinets with gold bar-style pulls on the bottom, picking out every single cabinet interior with custom built-ins so every utensil and kitchen item has its proper place. I promise, we left no stone unturned and I couldn’t be more thrilled that this dream kitchen is ours.
And let’s not even discuss my pure joy over the marble fishtail backsplash… I wanted classic with a twist and the final product is EVERYTHING. P.S. for those of you just itching to know–yes, the interior of my refrigerator still looks like that. Type A at its best ;).

i’m in love with every single solitary detail… who knew this stuff could make me SO happy?!?!? 😉
Moving along to the Breakfast Area, this space was intended to be fun, but most of all functional. From the built-in banquette seating to the indoor/outdoor fabric we selected [because ummm, kids!!] this little nook is filled with bright, happy light and amazing art from my friend and local love Gina Julian. We met each other year’s ago at a media event and I knew when the time was right, one of her gorgeous custom pieces would be in our home… an absolute dream come true that this piece has a place where I can see it each and everyday.
Finally, one final little space that has been something I’ve been envisioning for years is our Butler’s Pantry. We had one before the renovation, but it was never something we utilized because of how the cabinets were designed. This go-around, we added another dishwasher, ice maker [yes with that brilliant Sonic ice] and refrigerator drawers that we store all of the girls’ drinks in–perfect for playdates and letting them have a space just for their food and drink.
