I don’t claim to be a food blogger, nor will I ever master most anything truly homemade [without a mix to get me there-haha], but I’d like to think I’ve learned a thing or two during my hostessing tenure to know what it takes to assemble a pretty good fall charcuterie board.
Let’s face it, when this gal doesn’t want to cook, she throws together some meat, cheese, crackers, sauces and fruit and call it complete.
It doesn’t have to be fancy, but there are a few must-haves that you should always have on-hand to create the perfect fall charcuterie board. Keep reading for all the info!
FALL CHARCUTERIE BOARD ESSENTIALS:
First things first, let’s talk about the perfect tray… you need something large enough to house all the “goodies” and so my go-to usually looks like this Priano Tray. I also like to start by making a “draft” charcuterie to check out coloring, layout, ingredients and then work like an artist to make it not look too polished. I whipped this bad boy up in about 20 minutes the other night–super simple to execute, a ton of items I already had in my pantry and the end result was simple and absolutely delicious for taking to a friends’ house to watch some football and grill out = favorite things for fall!!!
Here’s what I used for my Fall Charcuterie Board:
Cheeses | Parmesan, Gouda and Brie
Meats | Salami, Prosciutto and Spicy Pepperoni
Fruits | Blackberries, Grapes and Dried Apricots
Nuts | Walnuts and Roasted Almonds
Crackers | Everything Pretzel Thins, Rosemary Wafer Crackers, and French Baguette Slices
Spreads | Strawberry Jam and Fig Butter
Extras | Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives and Wasabi Peas
Of course a handy dandy checklist always keeps things easy and simple… check out my must-haves for executing the perfect charcuterie board below and a few personal favs for good measure!
This looks delicious; I love the rainbow of colours!
thank you so much!!!
