I’m already dreading the seasonal “womp womp” once Christmas leaves us… so tell me how long is it actually acceptable to leave up my holiday decor?!?!?! This month of holiday excitement and joy has been one to remember–so many fun and festive events with my sweet family and I don’t ever want it to end! And yes, totally publishing this one today to keep track of all the goodness so I can look back next year and remember all the high-notes of what we want to see and do throughout Christmas:
Our Favorite Family Holiday Traditions
The Nutcracker Ballet. One of our mother-daughter traditions that Mimi started with me when I was just a little girl… seriously I look forward to this each and every year and I am so thankful TPAC makes it possible! The grand set displays, incredible music, and wonder of it all. If you ever get the chance, there is simply nothing like it!!
Breakfast with Santa. This was a new experience for my girls this year, thanks to our local American Girl store, and a SWEET one at that! Not only did they get to have a girls-only brekafast date with me, but they got to see Santa and show him their wishlists while shopping for ALL the AG stuff as well. Our Nashville location had all sorts of fun events from gingerbread cookie making to painting with Mrs. Claus, I need to remind myself of this cuteness next Christmas!
Visits with the Babies. Our beloved godchildren and the “babies” as we lovingly call them, we love it so much when they come in town to visit! It’s always a dose of chaos and excitement for Caroline and Carson… they came in town a few weekends ago and it was too much fun to take them to paint ornaments and spend some quality time together right before the holidays!
Santa… I Know Him. Of course no Christmas season is complete without a proper photo session with our favorite jolly elf at Santa’s Flight Academy [seriously the best way to experience Santa in Nashville]. We made it just in time to snap some must-have yearly pictures for all the grandparents and get our last-minute must-haves in before Santa heads back to the North Pole to pickup all the toys and goodies before 12/24!
Fur Collar Winter Coats [still a favorite!]
Tartan Plaid Dress | Gold Mini Melissa Shoes | Velvet Headband | Striped + Tartan Dress
Seeing that Jeff and I are both taking some much-needed time away from work after Christmas, we’ve still got more fun in store to take in with the girls… seeing Little Women at the movies, go ice skating, venture to Melting Pot for a special chocolate day date, visiting GLOW and of course more cookie making. OXOX
