It’s been almost two weeks since we left the magical word of all things Walt Disney and we’re still talking about all the memories we made along our journey. As much as you all know how deep our love of Disney runs deep throughout our family, we wanted to take you behind the scenes of our most recent girls getaway and chat about our Disney Creators Celebration Event!
First things first, what is a #disneycreator?? I had so many of you sending me emails and DMs asking about this trip and what all it entailed. Last November, we received an email from the Disney Special Events team inviting us to take part in this unique experience where they invite 100 social media creators to come together to learn more about their brand, show us new and exciting things in the world of Disney, and of course have FUN with our families while sharing all the details with you, our friends and followers. I’ll be honest, I don’t know how I secured such a coveted spot to be included among these incredible bloggers and social media creators. But you better believe we weren’t going to miss out on all the fun!! Hands down one of the most incredible opportunities of my life and I hope it’s something Caroline + Carson will ALWAYS remember.
For this first blog post, I’m taking you along for the first half of our vacation… three days at Walt Disney World and our general session as well as our special creators events and then my next post in this series will be everything about our Disney Cruise Line 3-night adventure onboard the Dream!

Disney Creators Celebration-Part 1
One thing I was SUPER excited about for this trip was to be among the first to stay at Disney’s all new hotel destination, the Riviera Resort. Modeled after everything European, the accommodations were super luxe, modern, and the rooms were so cleverly designed with all the storage and convenience we’ve come to expect when staying onsite at a Disney resort. The lobby is fresh and inviting and I was later informed that every lobby has its own “scent”. For me, this one smelled like cotton candy and definitely took your breath away upon arrival. I loved the La Petit Café for early morning coffee + pastries as well as afternoon cocktails [like my go-to Aperol Spritz], too. Right off the lobby is a gorgeous pool area complete with bocce court and picturesque views as well. Read more of the details of this beautiful new resort here.
A great place to stay when you’re wanting to be close to the action because you can also hop on the new Skyliner gondola transports to get you to Hollywood Studios and Epcot super quickly and efficiently! Disney seriously thinks of everything.
On our first night, we headed to Epcot for our welcome reception to kick-off the fun! We were introduced to the Disney PR Team as well as some special personalities like Ashley Eckstein and then our families came to join us for dinner, princess meet and greets and then free time to take advantage of Epcot after dark! We got to ride SOARIN which we absolutely loved and then headed to the entrance of the World Showcase for a private dessert party followed by Epcot’s incredibly nightly fireworks show… talk about a bang!

The next morning, us creators gathered at the Contemporary Resort for our general session meeting, while my little ladies and Mimi headed to Magic Kingdom to get their day underway. They dined at The Plaza Restaurant for breakfast and took advantage of multiple FastPasses, while we got so much insight about Disney, what’s to come in the next 2-3 years for all the parks, destinations and resorts and got to chat with some of the brand sponsors including Havianas, Otterbox, and Go Go Squeez… all brands we know and love in our house!
Let’s chat about a few of the super secret stuff they shared with us that I couldn’t wait to tell you about: SO many new restaurants coming to the parks, including La Creperie de Paris and Space 220 at Epcot, a new Mary Poppins exhibit via the UK area at Epcot [personally THRILLED for this!!], new ride alerts: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to Epcot, Tron to Magic Kingdom and even more Make-A-Wishes coming for 2020 and beyond!! We also got to meet the voice of Mickey Mouse himself, Mr. Brett Iwan–fun fact: he is only the fourth person to ever receive this honor and it’s INCREDIBLE to hear him in person! I loved hearing from the Disney executives on their vision for what’s coming and what they are doing to ensure the continuation of Walt and his legacy and everything Disney–they even shared this quote which resonated to me in so many ways: “together, happy people can do anything”.

That afternoon, I walked over to Magic Kingdom to meet up with my crew so we could ride our favorites we never want to miss [Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, It’s a Small World, Tomorrowland Speedway, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Barnstormer and Caroline’s first time to experience Space Mountain] before we had dinner with Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace and watched the Happily Ever After Fireworks show. 10PM came all too quickly that day and though we were a bit tired, we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces from a spectacular day of family fun at the happiest place on earth.

HUGE Disney fans in our house!! We are headed on a Disney Land & Sea trip next year. The cruise is booked and we are anxiously awaiting June when we can book our resort. We’ve been several times but I’m always on the lookout for tips and tricks because as you noted above with the new restaurants coming… Disney is ever changing! <3
