The Nashville store… my Nordstrom hometown shop! Noel always takes the best care of me when I go in store and this sale was no different. He is my stylist I always shop with and he is a GEM. If you’re looking for someone to work with you and style you up with the best of the best, especially during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I cannot recommend him enough.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dressing Room Try-Ons
Now for the nitty gritty, everything I shopped, tried on, and brought home with me from my shopping trip on Monday… I was thrilled that so many of my favorites I shared HERE were actually available to purchase in store, so I didn’t have to wait on them to ship!
I surprised myself by grabbing more neutrals and basics than ever before and really edited my selections before heading to the register to checkout. I focused on graphic tees and comfy jackets, basic bottoms, shoes and of course beauty buys I love. So sit right down, grab a cup of something good and let’s do this:
all the activewear
Hands down, my favorite category from this year’s Nordstrom Sale is the activewear… I think they totally got the memo about the items we are actually wearing each and everyday and the brands took note.
From Alo to Free People Movement to Zella and Sweaty Betty, this year’s lineup was looking good all the way from sports bras to bottoms. Here are my dressing room favs:
graphic tees please
One of the best surprises from this year’s sale has been ALL the graphic tees… let’s face it, we want to be cute + casual, but still speak our mind and nothings says that better than a tshirt that just gets better with time. Here are the must-shop styles I found in store [I purchased the top right and middle bottom options for reference and bought the XS in both]:

doing the denim
I wasn’t on the hunt for loads of denim this year, mainly because I am pretty stocked in that area, but there was one pair I was hoping to find in my local store and thank goodness they were there… I’m also showing a few other options worth checking out in the categories below, but I would advise [per usual] to invest in your denim because they will last for years!
open up for some outerwear
I get it from my grandmother… my love of coats is fierce and I am always adding to my collection because I love to get snuggled up for fall + winter. This time around, I opted for more casual styles–the fuzzy fleece, the quilted jackets and then the cropped puffer = all great finds that are on trend and on sale!
the tops + sweaters have it
Ok let me preface this by saying I wasn’t as impressed with the curated tops and sweaters from my initial perusing online, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my store and found that SO many of the tops were WAY better in person. Some wins, some losses… I passed on some of those “staple” cardigans that most of us probably have in all the colors and opted to show new staples I think worthy of sharing instead… hope this helps!
the best in beauty
Beauty continues to be one of the superior staples year after year during this sale… one to stock up on things YOU use on the daily [like my go-to primer, setting powder, hair tools and more] but also great ideas to go ahead and gift for some of your besties for Christmas! Our store had impressive stock in so many gift sets and items worth snagging:
the shoe scene
Another area I was a little disappointed in was the shoe selection… womp womp. I feel like I can alwasy trust Nordstrom to have STELLAR shoes during the annual sale, but this year proved to be quality over quantity in terms of shoes. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised that the ones I initially eyed online were in store, so I could scoop them up and take them home with me and they were even better in person! And you already know the pink shoes were a MUST, duh 😉
all the accessories + home sweet home
So there you have it… you AMBASSADOR level friends shop today so I hope your wishlist is checked and you’re ready to make it happen! I did all my damage on Monday so unless I find something I absolutely +need+ I’m hoping my #nsale shopping is complete… if not, #sorrynotsorry.
