I say it all the time, but I’m SO glad I live in a world where there are Octobers… pumpkin patches set up at all the local farms, plenty of football + tailgating with good friends, all the Halloween decor filling up the neighbor’s yards = life is good and there is much to celebrate!

Madewell is made for layering… it’s your one-stop shop to grab the essential tee, then layer it up with a fantastic flannel, jacket and/or sweater and of course all the accessories + shoes to boot. So for today, I’ll be sharing two ways to style up my all new Perfect Vintage Jeans in Lunar Wash.
Just as I mentioned before, this is my #1 recommendation for Madewell denim. The just high enough high rise + tapered leg means this stretch denim was made for all day wear with an old-school look and the essential broken-in feel. They run a bit large so I recommend sizing down, but also be sure to note these come in curvy, petite and tall sizes for the PERFECT fit!
Now that I’ve shown you the essential black denim for everyday style, let’s share a few new finds to wear them with…
First up, the Flannel Plaid Shirt in Cronston Plaid = the epitome of everything we all love about autumn in one oversized button up! Easy + effortless make this top ideal for chilly days meant for layering up AND it has hand warming pockets for keeping you toasty, too. It’s basically the ultimate in stay-cozy-all-season shirt. I wore the Whisper Cotton Long Sleeve TShirt underneath for a light + airy lived-in basic and love how easy it is and under $30 as well.
And then let’s discuss the goodness that is this all new Military Popover Shirt. I fell in love with the styling of this one, not only because it totally transforms basic denim, but that I can pair it with sneakers and leggings as well for an athleisure type of look. It’s got patch pockets + the oversized tunic length has rollable sleeves and a shirttail hem for good measure!
Finally, let’s talk about this Addition Puffer Jacket, meant for warm fall days and cool, crisp nights. I’ve been wearing this one on repeat since it arrived and I am obsessed. I love that it’s crafted of quilted, recycled fabric with lots of lightweight insulation and comes with a hood. And for good measure, it packs into a handy neck pillow, too = genius product design!
