You know I love oatmeal… usually I tend to make Overnight Oats, yet during cold + chilly months I want them warm and hot so I change it up and whip up a bowl of goodness in the microwave. This winter bowl with oatmeal is super easy, fast and convenient, and packed full of the healthy stuff as well!
Winter Bowl with Oatmeal:
INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp creamy almond butter
- fresh fruit [my favs are blueberries, raspberries, strawberries or blackberries]
- 1 tsp coconut flakes
- 1/2 tsp cacao nibs
- 1/2 tsp bee pollen
- 1/2 tsp honey
- dash of cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
- In a small microwave safe bowl, combine the old fashioned oats + almond milk and stir… place in microwave for 2:30 minutes [be sure to use an oven mitt to remove as they will be steaming hot!]
- Start by adding your favorite fruit toppings over oat mixture, then top with almond butter, chia seeds + coconut flakes, bee pollen, cacao nibs, honey and cinnamon
- Enjoy!
