Tell me this caption makes you start singing “when I wake up in the morning”… yep, brings back my childhood love affair of Zach Morris that’s for sure! This post has been one many of you have been asking for as I know you’re knee deep in back to school preparations for your littles, too. The summer break seems to be coming to an end, but I know they’re going to go back looking AND feeling their best! We’ve been shopping together over the past few days and they are thrilled with all the newness they brought home for their school wardrobe!
My girls are just like me… we like to keep things fresh and mix high and low style, and this mama loves to save on their everyday ensembles which will most certainly go through the ringers of daily wear and tear at school. That’s why Walmart is ALWAYS a go-to destination when it comes to our shopping adventures. Here are four new outfit options for even the pickiest of students:
Starting things off is this absolutely adorable Smocked Puff Sleeve Blouse from Wonder Nation. A steal for under $10, it comes in four different color options and is the epitome of elevated everyday style that is anything but basic. Carson is super picky when it comes to her school attire so the fact that she handpicked this cuteness was even better! As for the bottoms, these Ruffled Gauze Shorts come in a pack of two for under $15 so you’re sure to get lots of use out of both colors. The elastic waistband and easy on/off styling makes them ideal for school, but still fashionable and fun as well.
Giving uit up for the tshirts… my Caroline LOVES her a good graphic tee and this Dreamer Festival TShirt is super soft and fun for the older kids. She loves the retro colorway and I love the price = just $13 for two shirts that will most certainly be on the regular rotation for outfits! And for the bottoms… another Wonder Nation treasure are these Smocked Waist Shorts. At $14 for two pair in this classic cotton fabrication, they’ll never want to take them off and you’ll be even happier you shopped smartly for school.
Next up comes an outfit I am itching to find in my own size… this Striped Top and Smocked Short Set is SO dang cute and comfy to boot! At just $16 for the entire ensemble, it comes in a floral option as well and starts at 4 years and goes to size 16. A great mix and match option you can totally transition to fall when layered up with a classic denim jacket, too.
If you’re like me and my girls, you LOVE a good oversized sweatshirt situation and this positive affirmation Have the Best Day Sweatshirt is just perfect for back to school when your classroom is a bit chilly! This essential comes in a variety of styles and colors and it won’t set you back in the budget department because it’s a steal for $13. Paired with the same Gauze Smocked Ruffle Shorts I shared above, it’s a great look in fall hues as well!
Of course they need new backpacks for school, so Walmart comes through for the win in the accessories department! Carson opted for the Pink Leopard 3-Piece Backpack, Lunchbox and Pencil Case Set [a steal for $25] and Caroline went with the Justice Metallic Silver Colorblock Backpack = both packing a punch of color and fun to transport all their daily necessities to their class in style!
