It’s been a little more than a week since I returned home from my fast + furious adventure out west to Scottsdale… one of my absolute most favorite cities to visit. It was my second time to take on Arizona as an adult and I fall more in love with this place each time I come. Of course here was lots of work involved as we were shooting my all new spring 2024 collection with Shop Avara, but we definitely made the most of our three days to take on some of the scenic sights, fabulous faire and food and a bit of shopping for good measure as well.
First things first, let’s discuss the oh so chic house we rented while in Scottdale… it’s called The Margot and available to rent on AirBNB. 4 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms and super spacious, it’s packed with bohemian charm with an open layout, ample space and of course an outdoor oasis perfect for taking in the sunsets. The location was absolutely incredible and super convenient to everywhere in Scottsdale! You can find out more by visiting their Instagram page.
Moving onto the good stuff… all the food + drink. Needless to say, Scottsdale is certainly known as a mecca of gourmet restaurants and we tried to hit up as many as we could on our short trip. As soon as we got settled, we made our way to The Montauk for a light al fresco lunch = absolutely incredible options and a casual, laid back lifestyle kind of vibe. That night, we headed to dinner at Culinary Dropout, which came highly recommended and it lived up to the hype. Loved the rustic, western inspired atmosphere with open air windows and lots of natural light with live music to boot!! Their cocktails were out of this world amazing = always a bonus in my book.
Once the next day rolled out, we knocked out a ton of photography and content for my spring collection and then ended up at Diego Pops mid-day for a quick bite to eat for lunch… it was adorable inside and out, with delicious burrito bowls and the yummiest fried plantains, too! Definitely a must see when in Scottsdale. That night once we wrapped up our photoshoot, we got dressed up and headed to Toca Madera for dinner… it was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Fire breathing dancers, violin players, a live DJ and more = plus the seasonal margaritas were out of this world and the food and ambiance were stellar!!
We also hit up Farm + Craft for a casual, quick and healthy lunch before we flew back home the last day and then walked over to Old Town because I needed to scour for some souvenirs for my girls… the cutest shops ever!!! Lots of time for a leisurely stroll when you want to check out incredible small shops, too.
I wanted to be sure to highlight a handful of the best of the best in Scottsdale so be sure to bookmark his post for your next golf getaway, relaxing spa experience, girls trip or family fun field trip, too!!
