I like to think of myself as a seasoned traveler… I’ve perfected the art of packing [and no, I don’t use a carry-on #sorrynotsorry] but I will say I have found the best of the best when it comes to items I never leave home without.
Staple essentials that make travel easier and much more enjoyable + I’ve been able to eliminate some of the excess with these handy dandy products I’m featuring today! Efficiency is the name of the game when it comes to keeping myself organized and not over-stressing while I’m away… I’m the one who starts packing a few days before a big trip so I don’t save it all until the last minute and that method has served me well in return.
So here are my top 10 pack-and-go travel goods I swear by:
one. travel blanket + pillow
I first bought these for my girls and then quickly realized I needed one for myself! Being on the go never felt so good as this total two-in-one travel pillow AND blanket combo… super soft + fuzzy, it folds into a convenient carrying case that can easily slide over your suitcase handle for hands free carrying. Available in a variety of fun colors and patterns, they also come in adult sizes. However, I prefer the petite size for myself—it’s compact enough to toss into my carry-on for when I need a quick little nap on the plane.
two. apple airtags
Apple saves the day yet again… I cannot tell you how much these little tags have helped us. Last year when United lost our luggage, we were able to instantly see where they were based on the AirTags we placed into the interior of our checked bags. I promise you’ll feel a lot better on long trips knowing exactly where your bags are! Easy to setup and perfect for tracking your kiddos, too.
three. magnetic wireless portable phone charger
Not only is it wireless, but it’s magnetic = doubles as a watch/phone stand, it helps you eliminate messy cords when you’re traveling and keeps you all charged up as well! Super fast charging means you can make the most of your days AND keep your battery full even when you’re away from home sweet home. Great for tech-savvy tweens and husbands who constantly forget their charger ;).
four. travel sound machine
Probably one of my best purchases of 2024 so far, this travel sound machine has been a gamechanger for me sleeping well when not in my own bed. Not only does it offer 3 soothing sounds to choose from, but you can plug it into the outlet for all-night play. It drowns out any excess sound from the streets when you’re in a crowded city and also gives you a peaceful waves so you can pretend you’re at the ocean sleeping surfside! Volume controls make it a great option for your kids with its white noise, too.
five. portable handheld fan
I first bought these for our trip to Italy last summer and they proved to be a big hit… with the kids AND the adults alike. If you travel to warm climates like we do, it’s important to make sure you stay cool in the sun so you don’t get overheated. This handheld fan features 5 speeds and I love how small it is = easy to throw in my crossbody, too! You can use a regular outlet to charge and/or a USB cable and its battery life can last up to 16 hours [depending on speed you use].
six. ifly hard side luggage
It’s no secret I am obsessed with my iFly luggage suitcases… I’ve had three different sets over the last 10 years and love them so much I bought ones for my girls to use for their travel as well. I love the hardside for durability and they are lightweight so it’s harder to go over that 50 pound weight limit, too. They also come in fun colorways so you can easily spot your luggage on the conveyor belt and the under $300 for three-piece price point is perfection! Once you switch you’ll soon realize just why I love them…
seven. monogram travel bags

A great way to keep everything contained while you’re traveling so you don’t forget the important stuff to keep you healthy + happy.
nine. travel steamer
Once you have this handy dandy travel steamer, you’ll never have to worry about ironing ever again. It’s gotten to be so helpful I use it at home when I don’t want to get the large standing one out. It’s easy to use, quick to heat up in just 30 seconds and the under $25 price tag makes it a travel staple you’ll wish you had long ago.
ten. airpods pro and/or airpod max
Last but not least, whether you’re trying to drown out the flight attendant’s safety message and/or an annoying passenger, you ALWAYS need reinforcements when it comes to music/audio books, etc. I swear by all things Apple and have both of these options [and use them for different purposes]. The pods are great when you’re away for the weekend or at the beach, but I also love the max version for gym workouts and longer length trips to takealong.
