Blogging might be a little old-school these days, but I can’t help myself—I just love it! People are always baffled at the idea that I still put pen to paper and post here weekly but I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Sharing life’s ups, downs, and all the in-betweens here feels like chatting with friends over coffee [or maybe wine, let’s be honest]. Plus, it’s the perfect mix of staying connected, getting creative, and sneaking in some free writing therapy as well.

Coming in at number 10, I gave you all a peek behind the curtain of my life as a full-on dance mom in this Q&A session. With competition season about to kick off in less than a month, I reflected on how things have changed since my first dance mom debrief back in 2022. It was so fun to share the highs, the hustle, and the updates with you all—because honestly, being part of this world is a rollercoaster I wouldn’t trade for anything and I am so thankful both my girls are getting to do what they love and I get the best seat in the house right alongside them.

This one was a long time coming after my 16-year blogging anniversary back in April [showing my age here aren’t I??!]!! You all submitted so many amazing questions + narrowing it down to just 16 was no easy task. I wanted to answer one question for each year of blogging, and it turned into such a fun reflection on this incredible journey of what my life has looked like here in my little slice of daily happies. I’m giving myself a little high five because I actually hit my goal of reading one book a month this year [definitely a small goal, but a win is a win and we will take it]. There’s something about unwinding with a good book before bed that helps me sleep better and disconnect from the hustle of everyday life. No e-readers for me—I’m all about the traditional, paper-and-ink version = and yes, I am old fashioned in that way!! From tips on building a routine to celebrating those small but mighty wins, it was amazing to see how many of you connected with my story and hopefully challenged you to some fresh new ideas to boot! Sharing my journey felt like a big hug from each and every one of you and it’s been a favorite highlight of 2024 for sure!

Coming in hot at number two, it’s one of my personal favorites: Carson’s tween bedroom reveal—the one we all couldn’t stop swooning over! This colorful transformation struck the perfect balance between her love for neutrals [how is she even related to me?!?!] and the vibrant pops of color that make our happy home shine and stand out from the rest. I loved seeing this lively, personality-packed space come to life just as much as you did—and I cannot wait to tackle some new home renovation projects in 2025… including the playroom, Jeff’s office and the girls’ bathrooms!

Taking the top spot as a personal favorite [and everyone else’s] was my most heartfelt post, Nine Things I Want My Middle School Girls to Know. Hands down, this was by far the most read blog post from 2024… over 1 million views which is INSANE!!! Writing to my girls has always been my love language and sharing those life lessons with all of you felt extra special. Seeing how much this post resonated reminded me why I still adore pouring my heart into these blogs—it’s all about connection, encouragement and leaving a little legacy for the ones we love most.
What a fun trip down memory lane… so much fun looking back on what you loved most which 100% helps me take note of what to publish here on the blog in 2025!!
