It’s no surprise I LOVE any and all excuses to head to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We’ve gone there twice before [once on a Disney cruise destination and the other on a friends’ 40th birthday trip] but this time it was all work and a little play = but with some of my favorite social media friends and my go-to clothing brand Shop Avara.
When I got the call that they were planning a fun new getaway to debut their new 2025 resort collection, it was an immediate YES from this gal. And the fact that I got to take you along for the fun was even more of a reason to attend. Last year, we went to Stowe, Vermont, for all things fall and it went so well they decided to do it again and extend the invite to a few more friends as well.
Let’s do a quick high level overview of where we stayed: NOBU Los Cabos.
From the second I stepped into Nobu Hotel Los Cabos = I knew we were in for a good time!! Mornings started slow, with coffee via room service and the dreamiest ocean +pool views—because let’s be honest, there’s no better way to wake up. And dinner was a whole experience—fresh sushi at Nobu one night, the most insane tableside steak service at Ardea another and finally a fabulous seafood feast at Pacific. Every moment felt effortless, like Cabo was doing all the work—I was just there to enjoy it. Not to mention four different pools with private cabanas, stylish cocktail bars around the resort, the wonderful saunas and of course the gym that I actually made it a point to make it to #winning. P.S. another highlight was the fresh lychee martinis on the cocktail menu in all the restaurants = my fav cocktail of all time.
Now onto everything we did each day… luckily for us, the Shop Avara gang was gracious enough to build in some downtime for some extra rest + relaxation = and yes, that’s why they are the best.
day one
After what felt like a never-ending day of testing my patience [hello flight delays and having to run to make my connecting flight], I was so happy to finally arrive in Cabo. We checked in that afternoon and had just enough time to freshen up before heading out for pre-dinner photos with the Avara crew at sunset [P.S. my dear friend Katie via KSTU Photography is their full-time in house photographer and she’s the absolute best there is]. For our first night of fun, I threw on the Brady Romper [wearing size XS/runs TTS] with my go-to tall Nidia Wedges—perfect for a first night look when you want to show off your legs! Dinner was at Ardea Steakhouse, where we kicked things off with delicious steaks, bone marrow, fantastic wine and of course lots of laughs. Honestly, after a day of travel chaos, it was the best way to unwind and officially start the trip with an early bedtime for this old grandma!
day two
Day two started bright + early with coffee and breakfast, soaking up the morning vibes before we dove into a poolside photoshoot. I styled the Roxanne Dress and Priscilla Dress, both paired with the Brielle Bag [sold out but coming back soon!!]—so chic and perfect for a day in the beach! Afterward, we spent some time lounging by one of the resort’s pools, enjoying the sunshine and taking it easy. We grabbed a quick lunch and got ready to set off on a sailboat ride, which was a total highlight—seriously, those views of the infamous Cabo arch, beach views and of course seeing all seals in the water = always a favorite!
Later, we got ready for dinner at the infamous Nobu, [it lived up to the hype per usual] where I wore the Kinsley Top and Matching Skirt—such a fun combo for a night at the iconic restaurant you should absolutely dine at next time you’re in Cabo… it was the perfect mix of work and play!
The sailboat ride was truly GORGEOUS! We sailed along the coastline and caught a perfect view of the iconic El Arco, “The Arch”—I’ve seen it twice before and still lives up to the hype each time I go back. I’m always up for being on the water, and this ride was almost my favorite part of the trip [👀] … It was just one of those peaceful moments where you can’t help but appreciate the beauty around you and of course the amazing company, too.
day three
Day three started with another early morning fueled by coffee and breakfast before we got to make our custom hats with Corazon Playero. It was such a fun experience, seeing everyone’s creativity shine through—each hat felt like a little piece of our personalities! I’m all about cute keepsakes, so I was super excited to bring something home that I can wear and share all about their incredible story. Afterward, we relaxed by the pool and had lunch before freshening up for a photoshoot on the beach. I wore the Isla dress, Lana Mini Dress and Norah Top = talk about perfect vacation looks! For our final dinner, I swapped into the Shelly Dress for a relaxed yet stunning evening at Pacific.
Now THIS was my favorite part of the trip!! I’ve been a huge fan of Corazon Playero for awhile now—they’re just so special. I even gifted one of their gorgeous hats to one of my closest friends for her birthday last year. The ladies who helped us create our custom hats were beyond kind + it made this whole experience so fun. It was such a personal and creative moment, and I’ll definitely be cherishing my hat as a reminder of this amazing trip!
I’ll always use ANY excuse to head down south to Mexico and from the moment I heard the word CABO I was 100% in… it’s always refreshing to be around women in my industry, sharing best practices + strategies on how we can continue to evolve and make this social media world a lot more user friendly and ways to connect with our communities as well. Thanks for a wonderful experience Avara!
