Hard to believe this baby of mine [and yes she is still my baby] will be turning the big 1-3 in a little less than a month, and no, if you find me hiding in a corner… I am not OK, and yes, tears will absolutely be shed come March 17th. How is my little lucky charm officially going to be a teenager??
It’s been fun to watch all of her sweet friends turn 13 over the past few months and yes, I’ve dreaded this day for a very long time now. I’ll be giving her a proper toast on her actual birthday and try to hold my emotions together… but I truly can’t believe this journey of motherhood + parenting Jeff and I have been on together for the past 13 years = all thanks to this beautiful, kind-hearted, smart and incredibly well-rounded daughter of ours.
Having said that, I will admit that one perk of having your kids get older AND have technology readily available at their fingertips is that they can easily send you their wants + wishlists for birthdays and Christmas—complete with pictures to make sure you find the exact items they’ve been looking at!
A few weeks ago, I had her start making a list of things she’s been eyeing, along with a few sentimental treasures, since it’s such a milestone moment in her life.
