So… a few months ago my baby turned 13 and now this fireball is about to turn 12?? Do you ever look around and ask yourself “how did we get here so fast”? Yes I do that ALL the time these days! This will make you laugh… because of how the calendar falls this year, our little nugget is having to share her birthday, June 15th, with Jeff since it’s also Father’s Day and she’s not quite happy about it… shocking right???
Sorry Jeff… birthdays trump the other Hallmark holidays so of course we will sprinkle him with dad gifts, but the main event will be this little lady’s birthday. We are planning a preppy golf partee for her friends the week before and she is thrilled. But that also means she has made quite a comprehensive list for birthday goodies she has been eyeing the past few months = gosh I love a list!!
This one has ALWAYS been full of life—spunky, bold and totally unapologetic in the best way possible. It’s comical to look back and think how easy she was as a baby… my my my how the tables have turned! But her daddy and I are SO proud of her… proud for her character, hard work ethic, dive in head first and figure it out later kind of attitude and how much passion she has for life. She knows exactly who she is and isn’t afraid to put herself out there and I am so impressed with her confidence going into twelve.
