Another travel guide coming right up… it’s been two weeks since I left this dreamy destination so I thought it was time to put pen to paper and post a recap breaking down all the boujee that is Aspen.
So if you followed along via Instagram, you saw that getting to Aspen proved to be an adventure in itself = lost luggage and a whole lot of patience… BUT the second I stepped off the plane and saw those gorgeous Rocky Mountains in the background, I knew this trip was going to be something special!! Aspen in the fall is pure magic: gorgeous golden color in the trees, cool crisp air [hello great hair days due to no humidity!!], and a picture-perfect backdrop that feels straight out of a postcard.
This was my first time visiting Aspen and I was lucky enough to spend a few days there with the Avara team and a group of fabulous influencer friends, celebrating the launch of the 2025 fall collection. Between the fun team meals, extra activities, photoshoots and all the style inspiration you need for my favorite season of fashion, it turned into the ultimate fall getaway. So today I’m breaking it all down in a little Aspen travel guide—where to eat, what to do and how to make the most of a long weekend in this picturesque mountain town.
where to stay
We checked into the dreamiest spot for our Aspen getaway = the newly renovated Mollie Hotel and it couldn’t have been more perfect for a fall trip. Think cozy rooms, mountain views, and the kind of breakfast spread that makes you want to linger in your pajamas just a little longer [yes, we ate at the hotel every morning and it was such a treat!]. The location was also spot-on—close enough to all the downtown shopping, dining + activities so we never felt far from the action, but still tucked away enough to feel like a relaxing retreat. After busy days out exploring, coming back here felt like the best kind of reset packed with all the western charm and comfort we all adore.

where to eat
Aspen really does live up to its foodie reputation, and we made sure to enjoy some of the best spots in town. Each morning started with breakfast at our hotel—the best overnight oats I’ve ever had, bacon endless hot coffee and those mountain views that made it hard to head out the door.
For dinner, we mixed it up with several fabulous choices. Catch was the perfect blend of chic and cozy, with fresh seafood that felt extra indulgent after a full day exploring. Sant Ambroeus brought us a little slice of Italy in the mountains—pasta, wine and all the Italian vibes with great spots for picture taking, too. Casa Tua was another standout, serving elevated options in a chalet-style setting with perfect outdoor seating.

For daytime meals, Bear Den Bistro was a highlight—warm, welcoming, and exactly the kind of place you want to refuel in between shopping and sightseeing. We also popped into White House Tavern, a charming historic cottage turned eatery that serves up some of the best sandwiches around [do yourself a favor and get the Macho Salad = it is insanely good] . Each spot had its own personality, and together they made dining in Aspen one of the trip’s biggest highlights.
P.S. don’t forget a nightcap at the famous Hotel Jerome = such a treat with lots of great nooks for sitting and chatting by the fire and eclectic atmosphere everyone will adore!

what to do
When it comes to things to do in Aspen, the list is endless—but we packed in some of the best! From strolling the charming downtown streets and popping into all the boutiques [yes, the shopping is as good as you’ve heard but be prepared to spend some $$$$$ with the lineup of luxury retailers] to simply soaking up the breathtaking scenery everywhere you turn, there’s no shortage of ways to fill your days. We taste-tested our way through local eateries, explored nearby Snowmass, and truly felt like we were living the dream all while working hard but plying harder = life is all about balance, right?!
One of the absolute highlights?? Our private event at the iconic Kemo Sabe . We each designed our own custom hats, and it was such a pinch-me moment—cowboy couture at its finest and if you’ve yet to partake it’s definitely the best kind of accessory you can wear over and over again!! Mine has already become the ultimate souvenir that I’ll be wearing for years to come and the personalization aspect and detail is just to die for.

Needless to say, it may have been my first time in Aspen, but it certainly won’t be my last. They may not be a southern destination, but their warm welcome was absolutely amazing and I’m thinking a ski trip with the family may be on the docket in the near future because we love some Colorado winter vacations Want a few more suggestions on accommodations, eating = drinking, and things to do??
