It’s been almost six months since I took my last “vacation” from work… back when we traveled through Italy this summer and I purposefully forgot to take my laptop with me #oops. But alas, I am doing the same exact thing over the next few days as Jeff and I head north with our girls to take in New York City, Christmas edition! Honestly, we both live by the motto “work hard, play harder” and it’s time for us to escape the everyday and enjoy the time away from our normal daily grind as a foursome… shop
I’ve busted my booty with campaigns, collaborations, commitments and endless everyday work hours, clocking in 11-14 hours a day since October 1/Q4 officially kicked in and I am absolutely exhausted… and ready to celebrate my favorite holiday in my favorite city with my three favorite people [sorry Tucker, you can’t come little buddy]. Plus, when you step away for a bit and actually put on that out-of-office, you come back refreshed, re-energized and ready to tackle the next thing in line.
We’ve got a jam packed few days of fun and I cannot wait for the girls to experience Manhattan during the holidays… there is something so special and unique with the window displays, holiday shows, ambiance and of course all the seasonal fun that is unlike any other. The last time Jeff and I were in NYC during Christmas was when I was pregnant with Caroline so it’s high time to head back… and yes, I promise to bring you along for the fun via Instagram just in case you’re wondering what we are up to.
