Oh yes, you read that right… the packing list for ALL THINGS DISNEY has arrived. I have heard from so many of you that you’ve got trips planned for Spring Break, summer and beyond and you’re wanting to know what to pack for a Disney cruise or a magical vacation to the happiest place on Earth. And yes, I’ve got you covered.
Tomorrow, we leave for our very first Disney Creators Celebration days. I am just on cloud nine thinking of all the fun that’s in store AND the fact that I was able to keep this a surprise from Caroline + Carson for three months = a feat in itself I assure you!!! My original plan was to tell them tomorrow morning, but of course the type-A in me got to thinking about information overload for them at 5:30AM and decided to do it yesterday instead. Which also bought me some leverage in terms of behavior, helping get packed and built some MAJOR excitement for my minis, too. Be sure to check Instagram for the full reveal = it was TOO cute!!!!

So, this morning we are heading south… taking you along for a 3-day adventure to see everything Walt Disney World has to offer before embarking on the Disney Cruise Line for a 3-day cruise. Talk about a dream come true!!! And yes, I’ll be publishing ALL sorts of posts after we get back home so you’ll know everything we did this time, too. But before we go, I wanted to share my best Disney tips–things to be sure to take with you, little tricks I’ve found that help make it memorable and fan favs that I simply love to include in our suitcases to keep the wonder all throughout the trip. So let’s do this:
What to Pack for a Disney Cruise
ONE. The Perfect Suitcase
American Tourister has TOTALLY come to the rescue and outfitted us with the cutest Minnie Mouse Spinner Suitcase. It’ll stand out in a crowd and I absolutely love this hard-cased traveler for my girls’ goodies to make sure they arrive safe and sound to our final destination at the Riviera Resort. And you know this cuteness stands out in the carousel at the airport = major win!!
TWO. Autograph Books/Pillowcases + Clickable Sharpie Pens
Believe it or not, our beloved autograph books and embroidered pillowcases won’t be accompanying us on our trip this go-around, but it’s only because they are FULL of autographs from all of our favorite characters from our last three Disney trips over the past few years. For autograph books, I recommend Second Sister Designs and you already know everything applique for my girls comes from the fabulous Elegant Goods Shop–seriously Anne Walker can do no wrong when it comes to the perfect Disney attire and I can’t wait to show off all the beauties she has designed for this experience! P.S. her personalized pillowcases have been my favorite way to snag autographs in the past. Also, be sure to grab the CLICKABLE Sharpies for the below Charles Hancock–they are easier for the characters to write with ;).
THREE. The Backpack + All Your Essentials
Yes, plan ahead… pack all that sunscreen, plastic ponchos, hand sanitizer, baby wipes and a first aid kit to have on-hand with you at all times. I promise you’ll be happy you did. These valuable commodities have proven to be major must-haves on all of our trips and makes this mama proud when I can save the day. I am bringing along my Freshly Picked Charcoal City Classic Pack to transport easily from park to park so I can be hands free for the win. P.S. don’t forget portable chargers so you don’t miss one single second of all the FUN!
FOUR. Luggage + Stroller Tags + Cruise Magnets
Just trust me on this one. The more personalized, the better. When you come off a ride and can’t find your stroller, you’ll have wished you took my advice and brought along a stroller tag so you can easily identify yours in a sea of single and doubles. I bought mine from Scoooter Bug Boutique and I love that they come laminated in case of early afternoon showers!
Also, if you’re hopping onboard a cruise as part of your Disney vacation, be sure to deck the door with fun + memorable magnets. So glad I learned of these before we embarked on our first rotation last year = people go all out and it’s a fun way to make your stateroom stand out! I grabbed this set and can’t say enough about the fast shipping and easy order process.
FIVE. Only the Cutest Disney Outfits and Ensembles
Trust me, this will be an entire post all on its own once we return, BUT this is the time to bring out the big guns when it comes to matching, monogrammed and appliqued–thank goodness for Elegant Goods Shop, Benoit and Matisse, Lilly Pulitzer, Hanna Andersson, Matilda Jane and Smocked Auctions for keeping my cuties properly outfitted throughout our Disney adventures. Stay tuned for all the goodness to be debuted throughout our trip!!!
Best Tips + My Expert Advice
++Take your kiddos’ pajamas to the park… pack them away in a ziploc bag in your bag/stroller for the day and then change them into them during the evening hours if you plan on staying through the fireworks before the park closes–that way when you arrive back at your resort, you can tuck them into bed [because if yours are like mine, they’ll be sweet dreaming by then anyways]
++Buy the Memory Maker–if this is your first time visiting the mouse and all his friends, this will help you check off all the bozes for those perfect pictures without having to have your phone out day in and day out. It’s AMAZING and all of your beloved group + character photos will be in one place so you can download and print easily.
++Have FUN… that’s indeed what this entire experience is all about. Things will happen that might unexpectedly throw a curveball in your plans at one point during your vacation, but in the grand scheme of things, it won’t matter… when you see the wonder + magic in your kids’ [or husbands] eyes, I promise it’ll be ALL worth it. Now you know why I love Disney so much!!
