Better late than never and this comes during a time when we all need MUCH more happy in our lives!!! When I last left off from our Disney Creators Celebration round-ups, I shared two posts: Part 1: Epcot + Magic Kingdom and then Part 2: Animal Kingdom + Hollywood Studios. Today I’m here to wrap things up and share anything and everything you want to know from our three-day cruise onboard the Disney Dream Cruise Ship!
This was our second adventure cruising with the Disney Cruise Line [see last year’s trip with the Disney Wonder here] and it was nothing short of magical, just what I’ve come to expect with everything Disney. It was so much fun getting to see the differences between the two ships, galavanting to new destinations with Caroline, Carson and Mimi [the ultimate girls’ trip if you ask me!!] and of course taking in quality time together, too.

Leaving the Riviera Resort was so sad because we loved the accommodations and scenery, but hopped on the Magic Express to shuttle over to Port Canaveral to jump onboard the ship! Greeting us when we walked through the entryway was my favorite part of embarkation day–when they announce your family on the ship… it is the warmest welcome indeed! Us girls then gave ourselves a bit of a guided tour throughout the ship, checking out the must-stop shopping, food + beverage areas, and of course Caroline and Carson’s favorite, the outdoor pool area + water slides. That afternoon, the girls and Mimi got unpacked in the room while I attended the Creators Celebration Welcome Reception and then we all got changed for our bon voyage and first night at sea!
One thing we love about the Disney ships is their staterooms–SO spacious for your time at sea with lots of light, and tons of storage space for all your clothes, swimmers and essentials. For this cruise, we stayed in one of the Verandah Rooms, complete with an outdoor balcony= totally worth splurging for I promise!!! Here is a little tour of our room:
Our first evening, we took in treats from the culinary team at Animator’s Palate, [one of our favorite on-board restaurants] and then took in some of the live entertainment via The Golden Mickeys in the Walt Disney Theater–seriously if you’re headed on a Disney cruise in the not-too-distant future, get ready to be absolutely AMAZED with the shows… they are beyond-Broadway worthy with all the singing, dancing and fun from their truly incredible cast of entertainers!

The next morning, we docked in Nassau, Bahamas for the day. We were surprised to get a full meet and greet opportunity with Captain Mickey AND Captain Minnie and it totally made our morning! We opted to head to Cabana’s for a quick bite of breakfast after before exiting the ship and then headed straight to the straw market for souvenir shopping! Afterwards, us girls strolled up and down the streets to take in some of the local culture and then made our way back to the ship so we could catch some rays on the top pool deck, complete with tunnel vision Disney movies, all the ice cream via Eye Scream Treats, snacks from Flo’s Cafe , dessert treats from the cutest candy shoppe, Vanellope’s Sweets, and of course riding the mega Aqua Duck Slide… and yes, Mimi and I totally did it with the girls = SO MUCH FUN!!!!
melt. my. heart = a total framer and made our entire trip!!!
That night, we put on our best pirate attire–you know we love a theme–and headed to dinner at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant before watching the live performance of Beauty and the Beast [hands down my #1 recommedation for the show not to miss–it was beyond incredible!!!]. We rounded out the evening dancing under the stars at the Pirate Party!!! Always a fun time dancing with the characters, watching fireworks, singing our favorite songs and of course snuggling in for the night after a fun day of wonder + magic.
Our final day of the cruise we headed to Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island. This was our first time to get to experience this little slice of heaven and OMG we cannot wait to go back! So much to do onshore including float and snorkel rentals, beachside drinks and snacks, a full-on beachside cookout for lunch complete with all the ice cream you can handle and scenic views of the most gorgeous water around! It was just what the doctor ordered and a major dose of R&R after a few jam-packed days full of fun.
you know I can’t pass up a time to match with my minis: Camelia Cover-Up Maxi | Girls Cooke Cover-Up Dresses
That night, we got all dressed up for our fancy girls’ night… one of our favorite things about cruising! We got to sing and dance with our wait staff at The Royal Palace Restaurant [they always go above and beyond to make every evening memorable] and then watched the final show called Believe–the perfect way to end our once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

Looking back on this trip, I can fully say I was able to check off so many bucket list items from this wonderful opportunity with the Disney Creators Celebration. It was truly a dream come true and made even better that I got to bring along the three most important girls in my world–all with a love of Disney!!! And I can’t lie, I’m already counting down the days until our next Disney Cruise… also known as Spring Break 2021–we plan ahead!!!
