Ready for the easiest appetizer that is totally Pinterest-worthy?? This baked brie recipe is one of those go-to apps that everyone will love and I ALWAYS keep the ingredients on hand to whip up in a jiffy just in case someone stops by. It’s been one of my treasured triumphs for years and I love that you can totally change a few ingredients and make something truly tasty.
I usually opt for the Apple Butter + Pecan variety, but here are a few more choices that are really good as well:
+ Cranberry + Pistachios [amazing idea for Thanksgiving]
+ Fig Jam + Apples + Honey
+ Blueberries + Balsamic Reduction + Caramelized Bacon
+ Garlic + Prosciutto + Honey
Apple Butter + Pecan Baked Brie Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Sheet of Puff Pastry [OR Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough]
- 1 8 oz. Round Wheel Brie Cheese [my favorite brands are President or Ile de France]
- 1/2 cup of Apple Butter
- 1/4 cup of Pecan Pieces
- 1 Egg
DIRECTIONS
-
Take puff pastry out of container and lay on flat surface [if using Crescent Rolls instead of Dough, pinch seams together]
- Place round brie wheel in center of dough and then top with apple butter and pecan pieces
- Wrap the dough completely around the cheese and create a circle of dough, making sure to cover all parts of the cheese with the dough
- Whisk egg in small bowl and then brush all over to coat completely
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and then place dough on top
- Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes and then serve with your favorite crackers
