It’s here ladies–Fabulous Friday. Why is it that it seems that 4-day work weeks actually last longer than the normal ones?? Strange to me, but I swear I can’t be the only one who thinks this way.
Here in Nashville, the temperature has dropped a few degrees–we’re actually in the mid 80’s–but it’s dreary outside which makes me anxious to curl up in my bed and sleep the day away…even though I know that’ll never happen.
Tonight, Jeff and I are doing the mundane household chores to get ready for someone’s bday/football festivities tomorrow afternoon… that’s right, best friend turns the BIG 26 tomorrow and we’re taking it easy this year with a mexican fiesta at our house with friends! Aaron {her hubby} and I will be putting our culinary skills to work and serving up all kinds of mexican treats!!
Happy Early Birthday Meg–I Love You SOOOO Very Much!!
Not to mention, my Mom and Dad are FINALLY leaving for their European holiday to Greece tomorrow!! Oh I am so jealous and wish Jeff and I were able to go with them–next time for sure!! I know they are going to have a WONDERFUL time and see so many incredible landmarks and cities–their tour has them island hopping to Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, and Rhodes and I am just hoping I may get a good little souvenir from their adventures =). Mom and Dad, I know you’re going to have a trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to hear all about it when you get back in 2 weeks–love you and safe travels…you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers everyday!!
Then, the fun shall continue tomorrow evening as we head to Hermitage to celebrate Brittany’s Bachelorette Party! She is getting married September 25th and her bridesmaids have quite a fun night planned to honor her last fling before the ring. Sadly, I won’t get to paint the town red with all the girls because someone has to be up bright and early Sunday morning to catch a flight for work–details below.

In other important news, the VOLS are taking on the Oregon ducks tomorrow night in Knoxville. With all the exciting events going on in Nashville this weekend, Jeff and I decided to sell our tickets and stay home, but I am hoping our boys can put on their game faces and destroy some ducks! Fingers are crossed, and I am hoping for a real miracle and we can pull off a W this weekend… LET’S GO UT!!
And lastly, for any of you out there who have been to Austin, Texas, I need some major help!! I will be in town for 3 days and will have some down time between meetings/workshops/and conference activities–what should I make sure to see while I’m there? Obviously I hear 6th Street is a must and I am all about getting out to explore new places, so let me know any and all advice… thank you!!!
This week has been extremely long. I am happy to see it come to an end.
Ohhh…a Mexican themed birthday party…my favorite!!!
Hope you have a fantabulous weekend love!!
Hey lady! I loooove Austin, but it's been too long since I was there. You know Crystal Yates, right? She was a Phi Mu at UT, one of my good friends. She's been living in Austin about a month now and has much of it all figured out. Shoot her a facebook message! So jealous you're doing ATX! Enjoy đ
Austin is gorgeous! bring your running shoes for a beautiful run around Town Lake. shopping on South Congress is amazing…lots of eclectic little shops. not sure if the bats are flying, but check out the bats at Congress bridge at dusk each night – incredible sight.
i love Austin! how lucky that you get to go and work there for a few days đ
I have to root against you this time.. Even though I'm an Oregon STATE fan and season ticket holder as an Oregonian I have to root for my Oregon teams unless they're playing each other.. GO DUCKS! đ Have a great weekend.
You will love Austin!
Happy Birthday to your wonderful friend! Enjoy your fabulous weekend! đ
Such a fun weekend for you! I'm with Mrs. Vid I am an Oregon State fan but my dad is a Duck so goooo Ducks! đ
Happy b-day to your friend!! I'm in total agreement that 4 day work weeks seem longer…though I can't figure out why. Enjoy the weekend, girlie!
Awesome! I'm from Austin, and LOVEEE it! If you have time, def. make sure you see the bats on the Congress bridge…Kayaking on Town Lake is fun, and the shopping downtown is fabulous. 6th street is a must, but all of the more upscale bars are on 4th đ I'd recommend going to Mount Bonnell, the sight is beautiful…& Chuy's is the place to eat…Make sure you have their creamy jalapeno sauce. It's delish!
Looks like a really fun time and I love all the pics…your parents are adorable and your mother is beautiful!
